Abstract: Researchers have studied the affective factors in language teaching and learning for a lone time. The affective factors play a very important role in people’s cognition. In middle school, the affective factors are ignored in English teaching and learning. The thesis analyzes five affective factors: motivation, anxiety, attitudes, self-esteem and empathy. Furthermore, the problems of English teaching and learning in middle school are pointed out, accordingly, the author analyzes the corresponding teaching strategies. This thesis aims to investigate the affective problems of English teaching and learning in middle school, and give some suggestion to teachers in order to promote English learning and teaching in middle school.

摘要:国内外语言教学关于情感因素的研究已有很长历史。情感教育在人的认知过程中起着十分重要的作用。在中学外语中,情感因素却被忽视。本文结合相关理论,在前人研究的基础上,从什么是情感因素谈起,分析了初中英语教学中的动机、焦虑、态度、自尊和移情这几个情感因素。笔者也试图探索初中生英语教学过程中如何更好地发挥积极情感的作用,克服消极情感,以促进初中英语教学和初中生的英语学习。
