ABSTRACT:This blockbusting movie, Titanic, made in 1997, was directed by James Chameleon. It has become a symbol of classical movies of the late 20th century. It is believed that the love story between Jack and Rose in this movie is realistic. The paper focuses on analyzing the background information of the story, the different kinds of pressures from Jack, Rose, her mother, Carl and the society at that time. The author tries to prove that Jack and Rose would not stay with each other forever if Titanic hadn’t crashed the iceberg.

摘  要:1997年由詹姆斯·卡梅隆导演的好莱坞大片<泰坦尼克号>是二十世纪末经典电影的象征,很多人认为<泰坦尼克号>片里的杰克和露丝的爱情故事具有现实发生的可能.本文中作者通过结合故事的时代背景 ,对男女主人公想要在一起所面对的来自他们自己,露丝的母亲,卡尔,以及社会等方面的压力进行描述,从而得出结论,即使泰坦尼克号没撞上冰山,杰克和露丝也不会长久在一起.
