Abstract:English language is a specific working language and English teachers need to make good use of this specially important teaching tool which can teach knowledge, send information, solve puzzles and educate people, so as to accomplish the task of teaching, communicate emotions with the students, develop intelligence, promote transferring of learning, achieve the best teaching results. Therefore, English teaching art, to some extent, has become a kind of language arts. Even nowadays, popular computers and networks are prevailing. Modern educational technology can not completely replace mouth-to-ear such a basic form of teaching method. Therefore, as teaching language to a teacher, as guns to a soldier, is an essential tool. Teachers’ language should be the model of the students, so this requires English teachers to think carefully about the features of outstanding teaching languages from all aspects. The thesis mainly describes the characteristics of English teaching language, which in details are profession, pertinence, communication, variety, emotion, novelty, vividness and inspiration. Besides, according to these characteristics, the thesis also provides fives kinds of effective ways to improve English teaching language in order to reach the effect of activating class atmosphere, increasing class teaching efficiency and promoting students’ learning enthusiasm.

中文摘要:英语教学语言是一种专门的工作语言,而英语教师需要充分地运用了教学语言这种特别重要的工具来“传道、授业、解惑、育人”,完成教学任务,沟通师生情感,开发智力,促进学习,获取最佳的教学效果。所以英语教学语言,在某种程度上,可以说已经升华成一种语言艺术。即使是在当今计算机和网普及的时代,现代教育技术也不能完全取代师生间“口耳相授”的这种基本的教学形式。因此,教学语言之于教师,尤如枪炮之于战士,是必备工具。教师的语言应成为学生的楷模,所以这就要求英语教师认真从各个方面来琢磨优秀的教学语言特点。本文主要从英语教学语言的特点出发,具体阐述了其具有的专业知识性、针对性、交际性、多样性、情感性、新颖性、生动性以及启发性。并且针对这些特点,浅谈了五种行之有效的提高英语教学语言的方法。希望能够达到帮助英语教师活跃课堂气氛,提高课堂教学效率,激发学生参与课堂的热情的效果。
