Based on a basic understanding of excess honorifics, this paper introduces three main types of double honorifics, ＂お/ご＂ and ＂させていただく＂, and analyzes the causes from the needs of maintaining interpersonal relations, the driving of modern commercial profits and the requirements of self-expression. In addition, it makes the corresponding appraisal. The application of excessive honorifics has produced some negative effects. However, owing to the needs in reality and mind, it will be increasingly popular.
