In addition to a good master of the knowledge of the target language, a successful inter - cultural communication also requires a deep understanding of background knowledge. The introduction of cultural background knowledge will have a direct influence on the development of language teaching. In Japanese teaching, it is important to cultivate language ability and inter - cultural communication abili- ty of the students.
