Abstract
From four main characters of lion, Simba in The King Lion, Aslan in Narnia of the Lion of Witch and the Wardrobe, Socrates in Animals United ,and the cowardly lion in The Wizard of Oz, we have found the heroic qualities in common. They all not only have a strong body, but also a strong heart. They are all strong, brave, resolute, upright and positive, and have wisdom, love for friends and life, and courage to sacrifice.

摘要
我们已经从《狮子王》里的辛巴，《纳尼亚传奇》里的阿斯兰，《动物大会》里的苏格拉底，和《绿野仙踪》里的胆小狮，这四个主要的狮子形象身上找到了英雄主义特征。他们不仅仅拥有强壮的身体，还都拥有一颗强大的内心。他们都很强大，勇敢，坚定，正直，积极乐观，英语论文，聪慧，爱朋友爱生活，不怕牺牲。

1． Introduction
Lion is a kind of fierce animal in African Savanna. In our mind, it is the king of all the beasts with majestic demeanor, and we could find its figure from many movies and novels. Here I will analyze the characters of lion mainly according to the lion roles in 4 American films, Simba in The King Lion, Aslan in Narnia of the Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe, Socrates in Animals Unite, and the Cowardly lion in The Wizard of Oz. Although each role that the lion plays in each film is quite different and has its own obviously individual characters, they also have a lot in common. They are all brave, strong, wise, just, kind-hearted, ready to sacrifice, emotional, and have majestic demeanor and love to their friends and life, which are so consistent with the characters of a hero. That is to say, they all have the quality of heroism, and they even could become the symbol of heroism. Therefore, we are going to find out how the heroism is embodied by lions in these four American films. What’s more, these excellent qualities of lions also have a guiding significance that would lead us to become a lion in our own life and create a bright future for ourselves.
