摘要
随着全球化的日益发展，不同民族和国家人民之间的交往越来越密切，也出现了许多跨国家庭。在跨文化交际的过程中，来自不同文化的人群往往会发生冲突。而家庭这一社会组织的细胞，是文化在一代代人中传承的载体，因此，随着所处的环境有所异同，不同文化间的家庭观也各有不同。因此跨国家庭是不同文化碰撞的中心，因为家庭成员来自不同的文化，在家庭观方面难免发生冲突。
电影《推手》是著名华人导演李安在1991年拍摄的。电影从一位中国父亲的角度出发，英语论文，讲述了这位父亲前往美国与定居在美国的儿子团聚，但在儿子的美式家庭中却遭遇了种种文化和观念上的冲突。李安在《推手》中，将这一跨文化冲突通过“家庭”这样一个单位表达了出来，具体体现了中美不同的家庭观。
本文旨在根据电影中所展现的中国父亲在面对异国文化和价值观，尤其是截然不同的家庭观的不适应和无奈出发，根据文化维度理论中权力距离，个人主义与集体主义的概念以及其他中西方跨文化交际方面的探讨成果，略论在跨国家庭中成员家庭观念的冲突，并探究其深层次的原因。本文还将通过冲突处理理论，略论中国人和西方人应对家庭冲突的不同解决办法，英语论文题目，比较措施的优劣，并提出一些建议。

ABSTRACT
With the development of the globalization, people from different ethnics and countries can communicate much more frequently than ever before, some of them even form transnational families. But during the intercultural communication, people from different cultural backgrounds who hold different values may encounter great cultural conflicts. Family is the basic unit of every country, which also serves as the important carrier of culture. So vary with the cultural environment, the family values differ from culture to culture. The transnational family is the center of the collisions of different cultural value, for members are from different cultural backgrounds. So the conflicts brought by the different family values are inevitable.
In the year of 1991, Taiwanese director Ang Lee directed the film Pushing Hands which was a great success in Taiwan both among critics and at the box office. The story tells about an elderly Chinese Mr. Chu, who emigrates from Beijing to live with his son, American daughter-in-law, and grandson in New York. Mr. Chu suffered from the inadaption brought by the huge difference between Chinese and American culture. In the film, Ang Lee presented the different family values between Chinese culture and Western culture through the unit of a transnational family, which is a useful resource in the field of intercultural communication study.
This thesis analyzes the conflicts of family value between Chinese and western family members in the transnational family reflected in Ang Lee’s film Pushing Hands. Then the author tries to dig the deep origin of these conflicts from the perspective of culture. Meanwhile, the author analyzes the different conflict resolution styles the family members use to deal with the conflicts reflected in the film.
Finally, hope the result of the thesis can help to understand the differences between cultures and provide suggestions in managing cross-cultural conflicts and promote mutual understanding between cultures.
