Abstract
After centuries of development in American films, film makers have displayed diversified authentic and fictitious U.S. Presidents for global audience. Advocating the fundamental values of democracy, freedom, rationality and warmth in American society, these U.S. Presidential images reflect the profound insight of American politics in Hollywood. On the other hand, it also reveals the dash of American values, interpreting the American spirit and understanding and comprehension of the era.
In this essay, the presidential images in Hollywood are discussed, the political and historical roots of its evolution process are explored. It also goes further to probe into the relationship of the presidential images, the presidential spirit and the national spirit of the United States, revealing the deep-seated political, historical and cultural origins of the evolution of American values and history.
Hopefully, the analysis of presidential images in Hollywood can be the help of Sino-US cross-cultural communication. The first chapter introduces U.S. presidents in Hollywood movies; the second chapter analyzes the image building of U.S. presidents in Hollywood movies；and the American spirit of U.S. presidents in Hollywood movies is analyzed in the last part..

摘 要
在美国电影长达百年的发展进程中，电影人为全球的电影观众诠释了一个个形形色色或真实或虚构的美国总统。他们是美国社会民主、自由、理性、温情等基本价值观念的宣传者。这些形象的出现，一方面体现了好莱坞对美国政治社会的深刻洞察，另一方也揭示了美国价值观念的相互碰撞，英语论文，诠释着导演对美国精神及时代的理解与感悟。
本文以好莱坞电影中的总统形象作为切入点，通过略论其演变历程与产生的政治和历史根源，对总统形象、总统精神以及美国的民族精神的相互联系进行论述，揭示美国价值观念的演变历程及其深层次的政治和历史文化渊源。
笔者希望通过略论好莱坞电影中的总统形象，能对中美跨文化交流有一定的帮助。论文第一章通过真实的虚构的美国总统，介绍了好莱坞影片中的美国总统众生相；第二章略论了正面和反面总统形象的塑造；第三章略论了总统影像表现下的美国精神。
