Abstract:
With the development of economy, science and technology, people around the world can communicate with each other more easily and rapidly. There are two kinds of communication—verbal communication and nonverbal communication. Now researchers are inclined to pay more attention to verbal communication instead of nonverbal communication, even in the field of cross-cultural communication. However, many messages are transmitted in nonverbal ways.
Sometimes cultural differences may have an influence on international communication. Apart from verbal communication, many nonverbal actions are also affected by culture. Therefore, it is of importance to have an understanding of cultural differences and nonverbal communication.
This paper uses the method of theories analysis and demonstrations. Particularly, it also makes a comparative study of cultural differences in American and Chinese nonverbal communication from some aspects of nonverbal communication such as posture, gesture, eye contact, facial expression and so on. This paper is going to solve the problems caused by misunderstanding in cross-cultural communication. As international communication becomes more common, with the assistance of this study, American and Chinese people will have a better understanding of each other. Thus, it will also benefit the Sino-American relationship.

摘 要：
随着经济，科技的不断发展，全世界的人们能既方便又快捷的相互交流。交际方式有两种：言语交际和非言语交际。现在的探讨学者们相关于非言语交际更注重探讨言语交际，甚至在跨文化交际的领域里也是这样。然而，实际上许多的信息都是靠非言语的方式传递的。
有时文化异同对国际间的交流是有一定的作用的。不仅仅是言语交际，很多非言语交际也会受到文化的作用。因此，了解文化异同和非言语交际是很重要的。
本论文使用了理论略论和论证的措施。并且着重从非言语交际的一些方面，比如姿势，手势，目光接触，面部表情等，英语论文，对美国和中国非言语交际中的文化异同进行对比探讨。本论文将解决一些在跨文化交际中由于理解有误而产生的问题。随着国际间的交流越来越普遍，这样的探讨会帮助中美人们更好地理解彼此，英语论文题目，也会更好地促进中美之间的友谊。
