摘 要
饮食是人类生存与发展的第一需要，也是社会生活的基本形式之一，并且饮食文化是人类文化的重要组成部分，在跨文化交际中有着非常重要的影响。因为社会背景、传统文化意识形态、生活习惯、民族习俗以及价值观等方面的不同，中国和美国都有其独特的饮食文化，英语论文网站，包括饮食观念、饮食对象、烹饪方式、餐具、用餐礼仪等等。虽然有许多的饮食文化异同，但是随着国际社会的发展和交流，两国之间的文化随之相互碰撞和融合，因此了解中美饮食文化异同是非常重要的，这不仅能促进中美文化的进一步交流，提高跨文化交际的成功率，而且发展和巩固了中美两国之间的友谊。

Abstract
Diet is the primary need of human survival and development, it is also one of the basic forms of social life, and dietetic culture is the key part of the human culture as well, which plays a very important role in intercultural communication. Because of different social backgrounds, traditional culture ideologies, life habits, customs and values etc，China and America have their own unique dietetic culture, including dietetic concepts, dietetic objects, dietetic manner, table wares and table etiquettes and so on. Although there are many different aspects in Chinese and Western dietetic culture, nowadays, with the development and communication of international community, these two dietetic cultures are merging and learning from each other. Therefore, it is very important to realize the difference between Chinese and American dietetic culture, it not only promotes the communication of culture, and improves the success rate of intercultural communication, but also promotes the friendship between China and America.

1 Introduction
In this paper, I will analysis of the differences between Chinese and American dietetic culture from intercultural communication perspective. As the saying goes, ‘Food is of supreme importance to people’, and dietetic culture is the key part of the human culture. China has a brightly rich, broad and profound dietetic culture; the Western nation has exquisite especial dietetic culture, becoming the system of diet civilization. In a word, every country has its own unique dietetic culture, which shows up in different concepts, objects, manner, table wares and etiquettes and so on.
