Abstract
Romanticism is a movement in literature, art and culture, which arose in the 18th Century. Romanticism lays emphasis on subjectivity, expression of emotions and imagination. It tends to show one’s inner and ideal world by using enthusiastic and bold languages, imaginations which beyond the reality, and exaggerations. THE LEGEND OF THE PIANIST ON THE OCEAN created the main character, Nineteen Hundred, who was a talent of music and was fond of freedom. The director used colorful scenes, beautiful music and attractive plots to reveal the value of life, which aroused deep thoughts of audiences. Currently, the research about the romanticism in THE LEGEND OF THE PIANIST ON THE OCEAN at home and abroad is not systematic and complete. The thesis studied the romanticism and its effects by analyzing the cooperation of scenes and music, narrative structure, characters and theme in THE LEGEND OF THE PIANIST ON THE OCEAN.
The whole thesis was divided into five chapters: the first chapter was the introduction of research background, subject and purpose; the second chapter reviews the relevant theories of romanticism; in the third chapter gave an integrative and systematic introduction of the romanticism and its effects by analyzing the cooperation of scenes and music, narrative structure, characters and theme; the forth chapter analyzed the effects of romanticism in promoting the development of plots and revealing the theme. The last chapter was a conclusion of this thesis, which includes major findings, limitations and suggestions.

摘 要
浪漫主义是始于十八世纪西欧的文学、艺术和文化运动。浪漫主义强调主观性，把情感和想象放在创作的首位，侧重表现理想世界；常用热情奔放的语言、超越现实的想象和夸张的手法塑造理想中的形象。《海上钢琴师》借助色彩丰富的画面、美妙的音乐、引人入胜的故事情节，塑造了主人公1900超凡的音乐天才和自由洒脱的个性，揭示了对生命价值的深刻思考，英语论文范文，体现了浓郁的浪漫主义。当前，国内外对电影《海上钢琴师》的浪漫主义的探讨尚不系统、完善。本文研讨影片中镜头和音乐的配合、叙事结构、人物塑造和主题等方面的浪漫主义和所达到的艺术效果。
本论文共分为五部分：第一部分是引言，简要介绍论文的探讨背景、目的和意义。第二部分介绍浪漫主义的相关理论。第三部分略论电影中的镜头和音乐的配合、叙事结构、人物塑造和主题来展示浓厚的浪漫主义。第四部分略论浪漫主义手法在推动故事情节发展和展现主题方面发挥的影响。第五部分总结对电影《海上钢琴师》的浪漫主义的探讨结果和不足之处，并提出建议。
