Abstract and Key Words
Abstract: A large number of scholars have studied the translation of the movie titles from the aspect of literal translation and free translation. But the author takes free translation as the main strategy because a film title is something like advertisement by which the film producer tries to sell his product for the commercial success. Based on the deduction, the paper proposes for three principles in translation and analyses their relatedness with free translation.

摘要 ：大批的学者从直译和意译的角度对英文电影片名的翻译这一课题进行了相当广泛与深入的探讨。但是作者把意译看作是主要的策略，因为电影片名是像广告一样的东西，电影制片商企图出售自己的产品以达到商业目的。基于这个推论，本文提出了翻译中的三个准则，英语论文，英语论文，并略论了它们与意译之间的联系。

1. Introduction
This present paper sets out to explore from English into Chinese with an attempt to lay down some ground rules to pilot the translation of English movie titles. The past two or three decades have witnessed vast development in film translation. However, being a special and significant part of translation, film translation is an area that is far from being explored. Few monographs in domestic and abroad have discussed this topic. Just a few chapters can be found touching upon this issue, when the foreign language master journals published in the past decades. It is noticed that there is a relative pause of theoretical writing on film translation in general and on film title translation in particular. Actually, the translation of English movie titles is an important and creative work. An excellent version may contribute a lot to the charm of the film and play an important part in the introduction of a new film. Nevertheless, up to now no one has offered a systematic and feasible principle to pilot movie title translation. Actually, the translation of English movie titles is very problematic and it is also in the grip of a state of disunity . And now, it is high time that due attention should be given to the translation of English movie titles in the present field of studies.A good title of a movie can attract the audience’s attention and it can decide whether the film could have an access to enter the international market (Mona Baker,2017) , the moves derive from life and reflect the nation's culture .The important task for the translation of English movie titles is to reflect cultural value and to promote cultural exchange and understanding. A good film which attracts people’s attention depends not only on the fantastic acting, but also on the excellent titles of the film. The truth is that titles can guide the audience’s ideas.
