摘 要
每个名族都有自己在特定的自然环境、历史条件、地理位置和社会现实中形成，的具有特殊性的文化。英汉两种语言中的文化词汇非常丰富，动物词即为其中一种。动物与人们的生活密切相关，其形象又承载着不同民族独特的文化。人们把自己的感情、发生的各种事件及自然现象都与动物关系起来，英语论文范文，许多动物已经在人们的思维中形成某种象征并体现在语言中。近年来随着跨文化交际学的发展，不少学者以及英语教师等语言工作者在语用学、中外语言和文化的对比探讨方面做出了一些有意义的探究，英语论文网站，发表了一些有关文化词汇(包括动物词)探讨的文章。这些文章研讨了动物词汇在英汉语言中的不同文化内涵。本文在大量搜集有关动物词探讨的论文基础上，对比得出了一些对动物词汇内涵及其翻译的理解。

Abstract
Every nation has its own culture, which formed in the specific natural environment, the historical conditions, geographical location and social reality, so it has the particularity. Learning a second language in the 21st century is not only becoming an important task of the individual development, but also becoming one of the focuses of international education. Therefore, there is increasingly prominent attention focused on the research of the second language in the field of research of language learning. The language of cultural is rich in both English and Chinese vocabulary, and animal words are one of them. Animal is closely related to people’s lives. Many animals’ images are bearing the unique culture in different nations. People connected their feelings, even events or natural phenomena with animals. Then the animal words formed specific connotations, and is reflected in the language. In recent years, with the development of intercultural communication study, many scholars and teachers of English language has made some meaningful exploration in the pragmatics, Chinese and the foreign language and the culture contrast research, as well as published some research articles that related to cultural vocabulary (including animal words). These articles discussed connotations of the animal words in English and Chinese languages. In the basic of a large research on animal words, this paper drew some understanding on connotation and translation of animal words. Through comparing the differences of animal words in English and Chinese, people can understand the cultural differences between Chinese and western and the cultural information of vocabulary better.

1 Introduction
This paper is about Connotation and Translation of Animal Words in Chinese and Western Cultural. As we all know, animals are human being’s friends. In the long history of human being’s development, there exist many animal words in human’s language. As an objection, animals should be the same to every nation. But due to the different traditional culture in Chinese and western, people get so many varying feelings on animal that animal words have diverse associative meaning. Therefore, there are always exist communicational obstacles when we communicate with foreigners. Thus, it is necessary to work out the culture difference of animal words between Chinese and English.
