摘 要
语言交流中的听力技巧已经成为五项第二语言学习技巧中最为重要的技巧之一。因此,国内外探讨人员专注于探讨有关听力的理论,而语用推理为检测听力理解提供了一个有力的理论基础。探讨人员认为,英语系学生通过学习语用推理理论与训练推理能力,能有效提高听力理解水平。本文基于一项问卷调查,英语毕业论文,研讨语用推理是如何作用英语系学生听力理解水平的。本文以会话含意理论与关联理论为框架,旨在研讨语用推理策略的应用对英语听力理解能力的提高有怎样的作用。作者对教师与学生提出了几点建设性意见,英语论文网站,认为教学应注重培养学生掌握应用这些理论,策略和技巧,从而使听力理解得到有效提高。

Abstract
There is no denying that listening skill has become a crucial one among the five second language skills in verbal communication. Therefore, the researchers from both home and abroad focus on the studies of the listening theory. For examining listening comprehension, without a doubt, pragmatic inference provides a very useful theoretical basis. Researchers believe that by teaching English majors some theories of pragmatic inference as well as training their inference competence, the ability of their listening comprehension can be enhanced. This thesis is based upon a questionnaire survey, explores how pragmatic inference influence English majors’ listening comprehension in general. Under the framework of Conversational Implicature and the Relevance Theory, this thesis aims to analyze the effect of the pragmatics inference on listening comprehension, and the author tries to give some suggestions to both teachers and students. Teachers should make students obtain the strategies, skills and principles in order to improve the students’ listening ability effectively.

1 Introduction
1.1 Research background
There are two major media of linguistic communication: speech and writing. Modern linguistics regards speech is prior to writing. The writing system of any language is always “invented” by its users to record speech when the need arises. Therefore, in everyday communication, speech plays a greater role than writing in terms of the amount of information conveyed. However, we should pay more attention to this phenomenon: Only when speaker’s listening comprehension level gets improved, can their expressive level be enhanced. Therefore, it has great necessity for learners to improve the listening comprehension ability. It is an effective way to enhance their English language ability.
