Abstract
J.D. Salinger’s novel The Catcher in the Rye is one of the most famous novels in the 20th century in America. The extensive attention and profound understanding to the teenagers’ confusion during the process of growth that embodied in the novel has made the novel causes great sensation and disputation on its publication. The novel truly reflects American teenagers’ spiritual world after World War Ⅱ——anxiety, loneliness and confusion resulting from the distortion of human nature in the socialization. Holden is staying in the phrase of adolescence and his character is complex and contradictory. He is a man who is full of ideas in his mind: he wants to be a catcher in the rye to look after those innocent children; he wants to be away from home to live in an idyllic life. However, his dreams are always broken by the reality. In the novel, Salinger has explained reasons that result in Holden’s rebellion from many aspects, and in this thesis, it will conclude them in three points: social aspect, family aspect and school aspect. Meanwhile, the thesis will analyze the practical significance for today’s education from Holden’s rebellion in The Catcher in the Rye.

摘要
塞林格的长篇小说《麦田里的守望者》是20世纪美国最著名的小说之一。文章中对青少年成长过程中迷惘的广泛关注与深刻理解,使得小说在刚推之时就引起了巨大轰动。该小说真实地反映了美国青少年在二战之后的精神世界---由于社会化人性的扭曲而产生的焦虑、孤独与彷徨。主人公霍尔顿处于儿童向成人转变的青春期,他的个性复杂而又矛盾。他是一个充满理想的人,想作一个“麦田里的守望者”,看护那些天真无邪的儿童;想离家出走,英语论文,远离尘嚣,过田园般的纯朴生活。但是,现实生活中,英语论文,他的理想却被一一击破。在小说中,作者从多方面暗示了造成霍尔顿反叛的原因。而在此篇论文里,会将其总结为三大方面,即社会因素,家庭因素还有学校教育因素。同时,论文还将略论造成霍尔顿反叛缘由及其对当今教育事业的现实意义。
