《飘》和《红楼梦》中的女性性格[英语论文]

摘要:

一个是战火纷飞的年代,一个是日渐腐朽的封建王朝。当优雅的南方贵族生活被强大的新生北方资产阶级打败,当烈火烹油的权贵生活被王朝统治者终结,那些脆弱的曾经在家族荫庇下或无忧无虑或勾心斗角的女性们是如何面对这突如其来的巨变的呢?
我在这儿就以《飘》与《红楼梦》为例,来阐述旧时期中西方女性性格的差异,英语论文范文,以及由此引出的对女性性格的再思考。

Abstract:

When the elegent life of aristoctacy  was defeated by the war and the emperor of the dynasty, those tender ladies who were sheltered by their families, whether they were free from care or intrigue against each other, how could they face to the sudden change? What kind of persons would they change into? Here I’d like to set some representative female characters in A Dream of Red Chamber and Gone with the Wind to xplore the same and differences of the feminism in different periods and different backgrounds and finally initiates with reconsideration of women issues.

1. Introduction
A Dream of Red Chamber is a masterpiece which embodying Cao Xueqin’s utmost effort. Written in the mid-18th century, it’s the first biographies for women in Chinese history. It was a family’s declin from extreme extravagant. When the nobel life was finished by the emperor, status, wealth, servants, easy life…… everything was ruined. In the period of decline, women’s fates could only turn to a tragedy. And Gone with the Wind was written by Mitchell in 1936, about over 200 years later than A Dream of Red Chamber. It was a war era, the elegant life of the Southern aristocracy was defeated by the new capitalist class in the North, people's fate were involved in the times change, Hall, Knight, beauty, master, slave, easy of old times... ... everything was ended with the end of the South Hall’dream.In this period of relentless war, turned up some admiring women, they went  ups and downs in the war, and fighted with the fate of protest, for the life of spirit, their indomitable spirit is worship and thought-provoking.As the history backgrounds and periods are different, so is the women’s fate.
