摘要
谭恩美是一位美籍华裔作家,她的第一部小说《喜福会》一经出版就引起了社会的巨大反响,不仅成为当年美国四大畅销书之一,也在国内掀起了《喜福会》阅读探讨热潮。因为谭恩美的特殊身份,谭恩美在小说中融入了自身的经历和感情,使得小说《喜福会》中各个人物都淋漓尽致地展示了在双重社会背景和文化夹层下两代美籍华人之间的冲突与融合,英语论文范文,小说中的母女联系、社会背景等都成为中西方小说探讨的热门话题。
本文以小说《喜福会》为探讨对象,以内容略论和案例探讨作为探讨措施,致力于《喜福会》中两代美籍华人心态和观念的略论和探讨。文章首先分别探讨小说中四位母亲的生活环境对她们的心态和观念所造成的作用,再探讨四位女儿的成长环境及在这样的成长环境下她们所形成的个性和内心想法,结合中西方学者的探讨成果,对中西方不同社会背景和文化异同下人们不同观念和思想进行比较,为两代人之间心态观念产生异同的原因给出合理依据。最后,通过对比两代人之间的异同产生的原因和问题所在得出最后的结论。
本文是对《喜福会》中母女两代人心态和观念略论的必要补充,有助于更好的解读那个年代双重社会和文化背景下的美籍华人,英语毕业论文,展现血浓于水的骨肉亲情。

Abstract
Amy Tan is a famous Chinese-American writer. Her first novel the Joy Luck Club caused a huge response not only in America but also in China and became one of the four most popular novels in America. Because of Tan’s special status, she mixed her own experience and feeling in the novel, which made the novel good and real (Qiao, 2017). Through the novel, we can see the conflict and convergence between the two generations of Chinese Americans. Infected by the double social backgrounds and mixed culture, every character in the novel has its own mentality and concept, which cannot be easily accepted by others. The relationship between mother and daughter, the social background and many other topics are popularly researched by many professors.
This paper will be based on the novel the Joy Luck Club to research the topic of the Chinese Americans’ mentalities and concepts between the two generations. The methods will be analyzing contexts and studying cases. First, this paper will study on the four mothers’ life and experience as well as how life influences them. Then it will focus on the four daughters’ growth environment and under such environment what’s their personalities and inner minds. Third, under the help of the research results, compare the four mothers and the four daughters’ different concepts and mentalities, and find out the reason why these differences exist.
The result of this thesis will be a supplement to the research on the analysis of mentalities and concepts between mothers and daughters in the novel the Joy Luck Club and will also help us to gain insight into the novel and the moving love.
