摘 要
《追风筝的人》是美籍阿富汗裔作家卡勒德•胡赛尼的处女之作,在全世界范围内广受好评。从表面上看,小说涉及了许多社会问题,然而贯穿始终的还是主人公内在与外在的成长,英语论文,摆脱懦弱,秉持正义和追求善良。本文以《追风筝的人》的原作品为略论文本,借鉴国内外人士对该著作的略论,英语毕业论文,并结合“成长小说”的理论深入略论该著作中主人公的成长与救赎。本文分为五个部分。第一部分为引言。第二部分引入了成长小说理论,并说明该理论对本文探讨所产生的重要指导意义。第三部分阐述了本文的第一个主题——爱。第四部分进入本文的另外两大主题——成长与救赎。最后一个部分则为结论,总结了前文,强调了主题,并最后指出本文所存在的不足之处,并提出未来对本文探讨的一个展望。

Abstract
The Kite Runner was Khaled Hosseini's maiden novel, who is Afghanistan-American writer, but this novel did gain a great success and was widely welcomed and highly praised by readers all over the world. This novel narrates the protagonist Amir's "growing pain" between age 12 to 38. On the surface, the novel involves a variety of social issues, however, one theme running throughout the novel is personal growth of the protagonist who becomes a real man finally. This thesis takes the English edition of The Kite Runner as its subject of analysis. After reviewing domestic and overseas researches on The Kite Runner, the author interprets a thorough analysis into the theme of growth and redemption of the protagonist in The Kite Runner, under the guidance of the Bildungsroman theory. This thesis includes five parts. In the first chapter, it mainly mentions about the author and his works, the background of social period and stories happen in The Kite Runner, the literature review on it, the purpose of this thesis and its structure. In the second chapter, it introduces the Bildungsroman theory and illustrates that this important theory is a guidance of the whole analysis. In the third and forth chapter, it delays the themes of love, growth and redemption. Final part is the conclusion part. From the conclusion part, the generalization of the whole paper, emphasis of the themes and limitation of the research are put forward. Meanwhile, further studies on the book in question are expected to arise in the future.

1 Introduction
1.1 Khaled Hosseini’s introduction and his works
Khaled Hosseini is an Afghan-born American novelist and physician. He is a citizen of the United States where he has lived since he was fifteen years old. He was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 1965. His father was a diplomat with the Afghan Foreign Ministry and his mother taught Farsi and History at a large high school in Kabul. In 1976, the Afghan Foreign Ministry relocated the Hosseini family to Paris. They were ready to return to Kabul in 1980, but by then Afghanistan had already witnessed a bloody communist coup and the invasion of the Soviet army.
