摘要

简•奥斯汀是文明遐迩的女性作家。《傲慢与偏见》是她最杰出的著作。故事讲述了四个截然相反的婚姻故事。本文通过略论作者的社会状况,发现作者在小说中关于婚姻的价值取向,英语论文题目,着力于发现此婚姻观对现实发展的意义,特别在情感,理性,家庭,金钱方面。

Abstract

Jane Austen is a notable female novelist of England. Pride and Prejudice is one of her most famous work. Her article follows Bennet’s family as they deals with issues of manners, upbringing, sensibility, and marriage in the society of early 19th-century England. Though analyzing the story, especially in the sensibility and sense, money, status, sex, Jane Austen’s marriage view is presented. As a result, it is better for us to study the view and its effect.

1.    Introduction
1.1    The Background of the Author
Jane Austen (December16, 1775 –July 18, 1817) is a notable female novelist of England, whose works concentrated on countrywomen’s marriage itself and after lives, describing the world around her veritably with delicate observation and humor words. The author lived her whole life as close-connect family located on the English gentry. She never went to normal school. In other words, she was educated by her father and her siblings, and she learned by her own reading. Due to the environment of courtyards, she is accompanied by the mid and low landlord, priest. Moreover, the living environment is quite soft and comfortable. As the matter of fact, because of her living surrounding, there is no drastic social contradiction in her articles. According to the statement of Micropædia, Jane Austen is the first person to describe the ordinary life of common people. And she always writes the marriages among several families.
Her writing style is real and biting. What’s more, she was devoted to romantic fictions. In especial, she described the love and marriage story. Just about all her character, she gained her historical importance among all the literature. Her published articles are not so much, that is to say, there is only 6 existed: Sense and Sensibility (1811), Pride and Prejudice (1813), Mansfield Park (1814) and Emma (1816), she achieved success and became popular. And she wrote two additional novels, Northanger Abbey and Persuasion, both published in 1818. What’s more, she wrote the third one, called Sanditon, but she failed to complete it because of her death.
