Abstract
The little prince, the famous children’s short stories by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, demonstrates to us the true values of life and the return of humanity by telling the travel of a boy from outer space. This paper aims to analyze and appreciate the symbols regarding the plants, animals and characters in The Little Prince and ends with the conclusion that the ingenious use of symbols in The Little Prince contributes immensely to the manifestation of the theme of the short story—essential values of life and the return of humanity.
