1.1 The Background of the Study
With the integration of the world economy and the emergence of the “global village”, theinternational cooperation and communication become closer and closer. In 2017, Chinasuccessfully attended the world trade organization. While in 2017, China successfully hold theOlympic Games which belongs to the people of the world. All these show that China isbecoming more and more close to the world stage. However, if the Chinese want tosuccessfully achieve and stand fast on the stage, it is necessary to understand the stage. Thus, if the Chinese people want to understand the world andthe latest news, they must be familiar with English and apply English proficiently. Thus, it isvery important to learn English well in the current social background. It can help the Chinesepeople better understand the world and adapt to the society. 1.2 The Orientation and Significance of the Study
Through the questionnaire, interview, the author tries to create corpus status of juniorschools’ vocabulary teaching and learning difficulties and vocabulary teaching methods on thebasis of statistics, classification. Finally, the author tries to finds out the junior schoolstudents’ vocabulary learning difficulties which hide behind the phenomenon of rules andcharacteristics. The author tries to find out the reasons that result in English learning difficulties fromthe students’ vocabulary learning difficulties and teachers’ vocabulary teaching methods.Meantime, the author further analyzes the reasons and factors that cause vocabulary learning difficulties In order to promote the vocabulary teaching and the integration of cultural factors inEnglish teaching, the author tries to propose countermeasures and suggestions to Englishvocabulary teaching.
