1. Introduction

1.1 Background of the Study
The traditional English teaching makes some students become anxious in speakingand lose their interests in English, because they have troubles in understanding theforeigners' words when communicating with foreigners in real situations. Althoughstudents have learned English for many years or have got high scores in exam, they stillcan not express their own ideas freely, which leads to the cultivation of 'mute' Englishlearners. Eventually, some of them give up English learning.It's just under such circumstances that the administrator's Curriculum Requirementshas come into existence. According to it, the objective of College English learning is todevelop students' ability to use English, especially in speaking. They should exchangeinformation effectively to meet China's social development and internationalcommunication. So teachers should take effective measures to ensure that the focus isplaced on the learners' communicative competence rather than the abstract linguistic forms.English will be treated and be taught as a tool and English speaking ability will becomemore important in English learning in the future. Therefore, it will be crucial for theteachers to explore effective classroom speaking activities and improve students speakingability in higher vocational school.There are many researches on classroom interaction at home and abroad, but theyalmost are just on the level of theories. There are relatively fewer studies on the differentinteractive types and activities in the speaking design. Hence it is of great importance forthe teachers and students to know how to successfully use interactive teaching model inthe class. In order to improve the learning level in higher vocational school and theefficiency of speaking, to arouse the students' interest in English speaking and also tomake full use of the theory of interactive teaching model, this study mainly focuses on thespeaking classroom activities. In the four-month time, the author designs and arrangesvarieties of speaking activities.

1.2 Research Objectives and Significance
The objectives of the research are as follows:With the increasing international trade and the policy of reform and opening-up inour country, oral English communication has become a rigid requirements of high-qualitytalents. As an important part of the education in our country, the higher vocationalcollege should be clear: it is useful to train a certain level of professional and technicalpersonnel, only by this can the higher vocational schools adapt to social development.vocational education pay attention to the practical application of knowledge, which cancultivate the first line labors in production. For many students, oral English is extremelyimportant in the future career. In terms of the current higher vocational English teaching,some students have difficulties in opening their mouth to speak English because in thetraditional teacher-centered teaching model, the students lack of interests in Englishspeaking. In order to solve these problems, increase the students' oral English learninginterest and improve their oral English ability, this paper introduces the interactiveteaching method in higher vocational oral English class.
