Chapter One Introduction
1.1 Research significance and objective
如今，商务英语的存在是语言的发展和社会的改善的结果。在二十一世纪，知识经济无动于衷领域发挥主导影响，因此，商务英语被视为一个重要的功能性产品的英语，这应显示其在不同场合的运用能力。据悉，有近1.6亿人，那些认为英语是他们的第一或第二语言，80％以上的人经常使用商务英语。特别是在商业交易中，大部分商人应该通过商务英语与对方沟通和协商。因此，商务英语翻译是一种必要和必不可少的工具，为他们做交易对方，这可以使最终交易成功，顺利。商务英语的传播和发展在今天的中国的原因有很多。首先，并非所有的中国商人是胜任英语尤其是商务英语。因此，很多商人取决于笔译和口译与对方沟通。Nowadays, the existence of business English is the result of language development andsocial improvement. In the 21stcentury, Knowledge Economy is playing a dominant role indifferent fields, and thus business English is regarded as an important functional product ofEnglish, which should show its application capacity in different occasions. It is reported thatthere are nearly 1.6 billion people who consider English to be their first or second language,and more than 80% of them use business English frequently. Especially in businesstransactions, most businessmen should communicate and negotiate with each other by meansof business English. Hence, business English translation is a necessary and indispensable toolfor them to do transactions with each other, which can make the final deals successfully andsmoothly.There are many reasons for the business English to spread and develop in China today.Firstly, not all Chinese businessmen are competent in English especially in business English.So many businessmen communicate with each other depending on the translators andinterpreters.甚至更糟糕的是，很多商家都不愿意和内容与他们的合作伙伴来自英语为母语的国家的沟通和协商。其次，一些政府机构的决策和业务实体需要翻译商务文件和文件审查。随着全球化和经济一体化的迅速发展，许多非英语系做国际贸易，英语毕业论文，商务英语翻译作出了很大的贡献，让他们到中国的联系，使车轮与其他国家的自由做交易。第三，很多法学文件，特别是外贸司法程序有要处理的情况。在这个过程中，商务英语翻译过程中的国际交易中起着重要影响，为客商。这也是非常重要的，不仅为贸易伙伴，英语论文题目，但经济改善。 Or even worse, many businessmen are not willing and content to communicateand negotiate with their partners from English- speaking countries. Secondly, some decision–making governmental organizations and business entities need translated businessdocuments and files to review. With the rapid development of globalization and economicintegration, many non-English speakers are specialized in doing international transactionswhile business English translation contributes much to equipping them to make the wheels ofChina’s relations and do transactions with other countries freely. Thirdly, many legaldocuments, especially foreign trade judicial proceeding has to be processed circumstance. Inthis process, business English translation plays an important role for businessmen in theprocedure of international transactions. It is also very important not only for the trade partnersbut for the improvement of economy.
Based on the above reasons, the author wants to write this thesis in order to find the strategies of business English translation in the Skopos theory form the functional perspectiveand can also solve the problems in business English translation and improve the teachingstrategies of business English translation. In this thesis, the author chooses some businessEnglish texts as the materials and analyzes the principles of business English texts from theperspective of Skopos theory in the hope of finding out the reasons that Skopos theory isapplied to achieve business English translation more precisely and coherently.This thesis has great importance for both business English translation and learning. italso can provide the theoretical foundation and detailed analysis for the appropriate selectionof words and phrases in business English translation, which will help
