As we know, there are fivekinds of communication: interpersonal communication, public speaking, small groupcommunication, intrapersonal communication and mass communication. Of all thesecommunications, public speaking is especially important with the integration of worldeconomy. The successful business speech can achieve the lecturer’s purpose, but theunsuccessful one can leave bad impression on the audiences. The excellent lecturer not onlyhas great personal charm, but also can help improve his company's popularity at home andabroad.Any form of communication includes these elements as followed: ( Ma, 1998)Source- the person who initiates the communication;Receiver- the person who gets the information or message sent by the source;Message- the information sent by the source to the receiver;Response- the feedback the receiver sends to the source when receiving the messagefrom the source;Context- the setting where communication takes place. The process of communication is dynamic and interactive. So, the five elements areinalienable. Besides, people from different countries, although they use the same words, arehard to understand each other because of the different contexts. From this, we can see thatculture is also one of the elements that are indispensable in the course of communication. As topublic speaking, there are counterparts for each of the elements of communication (Ma, 1998)
