本文主要讲的是对于人性与未来的范文。The assigned themes that this is going to probe into are the “Definition Of Human nature” as well as the “Human nature and technology”. The relationship between technologies and the human nature, together with the relationship between human nature and the natural world will also be discussed. We are living in a world where technology brings a variety of advantages, however, we seem to have ignored the negative aspects that technology has.
Introduction:
Human nature is in regards to the disparate and distinct personalities that a person has, those characteristics include but not limited: how he or she thinks, how he or she feels as well as how he or she acts when confronting with a variety of people or environments. Human nature is not prone to be changed or influenced, however, with the rapid development of technology, human nature is very likely to be changed or influenced to a tremendous extent in the coming future.  The assigned themes that this is going to probe into are the “Definition Of Human nature” as well as the “Human nature and technology”. The relationship between technologies and the human nature, together with the relationship between human nature and the natural world will also be discussed. We are living in a world where technology brings a variety of advantages, however, we seem to have ignored the negative aspects that technology has.
The human nature has some common definitions, namely sex and food and the imagination to the future. The human nature is all about how we live and how we get to pass our genes to the next generation, the commons are food and sex. For example, according to Barnett*, Ronald, having the ability to imagine the future is a skill that can be procured, it is also a kind of human nature (Ronald, 2017). A baby may not be able to imagine the future, not mention to prepare for it. However, teenagers are able to imagine the next a couple of weeks. Furthermore, Ridley, Matt has pointed out that sex is an indispensable part of human nature, people transmit civilization to their offspring via sex (Matt, 1994). It it our human intrinsic instinct to have sex with a person who has a different sex, because if we had not formed this instinct, human beings would not have been developed or it would have disappeared long time ago. When an infant being given birth to, he or she will have known how to suck his or her mother’s breast to be fed, this infant may have no idea what he or she is doing, because infants are impossible to develop their brains at that time, therefore, it is more than clear that sucking their mothers’ breasts in order not to be starving is our human intrinsic instinct. Having sex is exactly the same as an infant who knows how to such his or her mother’s breast, but the only difference is that infants do not exactly have the ability to have sex at that time. However, as time elapses, their bodies are fully developed, despite that there is nobody who tells them how to have sex with others so that they will keep reproduction to continue, they will know how to do it when the time eventually comes. As being talked previously, people know exactly how to eat, but they may have no idea what they are eating ( Mary & Brown, 1987). From this research, we can see that eating food is also human nature. Lastly, having the ability to imagine is human nature. Eno Brian wrote an article entitled “The long now” showing us a lot of his own imagination (Brian, 2017). In the very beginning, he imagined a disparate sort of music that he would like to hear. We could see that imaging is our ability, nobody teaches this author how to imagine things when his was young. According to Dutton Denis, along with skill display, pleasure and emotion, imagination is a feature of human beings (i.e. It is our instinct), we are able to imagine when we are very young (Denis, 2017). We can imagine a city where we want to visit, we can imagine a song that we want to listen to, as Eno Brian did, we can also imagine a world where we are the kings who have the supreme power. Imagination enables us to do a considerable number of things that we may not really have the capacity to do so. There is another thing about imagination that Garreau Joel brought out in his book named “Radical Evolution”, people can imagine that we are able to move things here and there with our minds. Afterwards, we will be able to try to make it real. Take Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency in the USA as an example, they are now endeavoring to innovate a super soldier (Joel, 2017). Let us make it clear. We will only try to make things real if they have imagined them at the first place. Imagination is the root of creation. For instance, scientists imagined whether there would be something that could help human beings do something dangerous or boring, then the robots were created. An emperor in China imagined that there would be something that could fight against his enemies, therefore, the Great Wall, one of the most splendid wonders of the entire world was constructed. Madame Curie, a talented scientist, imagined that there was something unknown in a metal, afterwards, radium was discovered successfully in the end. If we do not imagine something that is not very easy to make it true, then it will be entirely impossible for human beings to create such an object. Without imagination, human beings could not have transcend ourselves. The magnitude of imagination should never be neglected.
Contemporarily, we gave up our human nature and moved forward into a technology world, also the technologies are destroying our only home, namely the Earth, but we still opt to live with the advantages that technologies bring and have the tendency to ignore the bad dimensions that they have.
We spare no effort to surpass ourselves, as it has been known to us, evolutionary path of humanity should be placed in the context of cosmic evolution which originated from the Big Bang toward making the entire universe alive. The evolution of humanity can be seen in roughly three stages in terms of human capacity: its formation, utilization, and expansion. While doing these stages, we are also devastating our homes. Thomas Lewis unveils that in spite of technology which helps human beings realize their natures better, they are not only exterminate themselves, but the earth as well. He also point out that the nuclear really benefits human beings to a immense degrees, however, its sequela are very serious (Lewis, 2017). It is a hundred percent correct, in the past, we were living in a place where the air was fresh, the water was clean and the sky was blue. Due to the nuclear, yes, we are now able to do more things that nuclear energy enables, but we are losing our fresh air, blue sky as well as the clean water. Furthermore, with the development of technology, we do not have to go to our destinations on foot, which may take us a couple of ours, we are now able to drive private cars that we bought, which will only take us no more than a couple of minutes. A couple of minutes compares to a couple of hours, human beings really have made a tremendous progress. However, the harmful gasses, like Carbon dioxide, will unquestionably contamination and deteriorate our environment that we are relying on in order to survive. Robert Rapier made a research which shows us that the CO2 emissions have been increasing incredibly fast since 1965. The figure illustrates that origination from the year 1965 with approximately 13 billion tons of carbon dioxide, it kept going up remarkably to more than 35 billion tons of carbon dioxide in the year 2017 (Rapier, 2017). It can be seen easily that the figure will continue to increase as time goes by. Cars, is the product of high technology, and cars are the culprit that contaminate our environment, hence, it can come to a conclusion that technology is contaminating our environment. This is really very horrible, it is high time that we took immediate and feasible measures to stop this trend. Besides, we the development of technology, we can use plastic bags to accommodate the items that we purchase from shops, however, plastic bags will give rise to white pollution. We have accustomed to use plastic bags when we go shopping or packaging leftovers, because it is extremely easy for them to take. They do not have to take a cloth bag everywhere. That is also the reason why there are increasingly number of people who have a passionate desire to use plastic bags without restriction. Our world is contaminating by these kinds of pollution which have been mentioned above, if the world is deteriorating day by day, we human beings will be the one who pays for it in the coming future. Therefore, it will not be difficult to see that our human nature has been changed because of technology on the other hand.
Positively speaking, technology will positively help human beings transcend themselves in the future. As it has been known to everyone of us, human beings has enjoyed excellently brilliant lives that technology brings benefiting thousands of hundreds of dwellers in this world. Primarily, in the past, we were only able to communicate with others, however, with the development of technology, at present, we are able to talk with our peers whenever we want via phones. According to a survey, more than 56% of kids in Italy possess a cellphone, that is to say, their parents are able to supervise their children to see whether they are safe or in danger a lot easily (Lara,2017). Here comes to another survey to explain the reason why cellphone helps human beings better. Weir Lori and his colleagues has figured out that a considerable number of parents are concerning about their dear kids’ lives, they are worrying that their children may be threaten by others, and sometimes parents may have difficulties in finding where they are (Lori A, et al, 2017). Children are always the apple of their parents’ eye, thus, those people who do not have any kids can hardly understand what parents will be feeling when they can not keep in touch with their children in order to make sure that their children are safe. In the past, the aged may be able to imagine how difficult it was to look for their children after the invention of cellphones. They had to knock on every neighbor’s door to ask whether their kids were there or to inquire if they knew where their kids were. Moreover, in ancient time, people often went out to get jobs, sometimes, they could only procure excellent jobs which were far away from their hometowns. The only communication tool that delivered their loves to their children or wives was letters. They could not hear the voices of those they love, not mention to talk with them. However, with technology, we can talk to the one that we love anytime we like, we can hear their voices, we can even tell them how much we love them in person via a cellphone which is smaller than our hands. We have transcended ourselves in terms of this. We are surpassing ourselves with the development of technology. Apart from cellphones, scientists have created robots to help people do something dangerous. For example, in some large industries, there are always multifarious dangerous things, like chopping up meats, robots will reduce the risks of people who will be hurt by the machines. In addition, originally, after the invention of robots, a company could only produce a small amount of products that were manufactured by men, and the costs of those products were absolutely very high. Currently, we have advanced robots or machines, which enable us to manufacture more products at one time, and it is worthy to mention that the robots as well as machines will not feel tired as human beings do, hence, they will keep on doing what they have been assigned to do as long as enough electricity is provided. Robots will certainly reduce the costs of making goods, and decreasing the costs of making products means that the consumers will buy the same products with a lot cheaper price, which will certainly have a mutual benefits between companies and buyers. It is clear that our economy can be boosted. Our human nature can be improved, because we can use more our precious time to imagine something impossible and make the impossible become possible. We are really transcending ourselves gradually. Transcending ourselves may not be an easy thing, on the contrary, it is very tough. However, technology is a good inception of human beings’ transcendence.
In a nutshell, looking through this technological world and back to the human nature, we may find out what the the human nature is truly about, what the specific idea and meaning are about and what the fact that the human nature is not only regarding food and sex but also means something else is about. How it represents to transcendence in the future connects with whether we are still neglecting the problem that the technologies bring to us. In the future, technology will unquestionably help human beings live in a better life which is a lot more convenient than it was in the past few decades. However, the world will be devastated incredibly fast if we continue doing what we are doing currently. In the future there will be a world which human beings can not be seen, and if we refuse to take immediate actions to address this concern, it will happen soon. When it comes to surpassing ourselves, technology should definitely be mentioned. We have got cellphones, robots and a variety of other kinds of high-tech products, the technology will be playing a more and more important role in transcending the human nature. If we can make optimum use of technology, we will be able to transcend our human nature in a good way.
