이 연구는 언어 변이로 다양한 특징 변화를 갖는 해음(諧音) 현상을 통해 언어, 문화, 사회 등의 관계를 유추하는 것이다. 소리 유사 여부, 언어 변이 발전 과정에 의해 해음의 구(舊)형식과 ... 이 연구는 언어 변이로 다양한 특징 변화를 갖는 해음(諧音) 현상을 통해 언어, 문화, 사회 등의 관계를 유추하는 것이다. 소리 유사 여부, 언어 변이 발전 과정에 의해 해음의 구(舊)형식과 구의미가 신(新)형식, 신의미로 바뀌는 언어학적 특징 변화를 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 해음의 개념적 의미와 내포적 의미에 존재하는 수사적인 특징과 시간적인 발전 과정의 흐름에 따라 구와 신으로 구분 지은 후, 이 둘의 비교 분석을 통해 해음의 활용 범위 및 언어와 문화, 언어와 사회와의 밀접한 연관성을 살피고자 한다. 해음은 소리 유사 여부에 따라 수사로 표현하는 방식에서 IT기술의 발전에 의해 변이된 언어 현상의 특징을 갖는 신해음(新諧音) 현상으로 나타난다. 구해음(舊諧音)의 형식이 원형체(原型體)로 해음을 빌린 피동 형태를 갖는 반면, 신해음은 의미를 전혀 연상할 수 없는 숨겨진 의미의 변형체(變形體)이자 해음을 소리 나는 대로 글자로 표현한 해음체(諧音體)로 내면에 감추어진 의미와 비유 관계를 이룬다. 인터넷 언어는 중국어 자판 입력 시 라틴 자판 오류에 의한 우연성과 재미를 추구하는 네티즌들의 의도성에 의해 언어가 사회, 문화, 심리 등의 여러 요소들과의 간접적인 영향을 받아 성장하고 변화되는 과정에서 나타나는 언어 변이 현상이다. 중국어 발음 표기 방식인 병음과 영어 자모, 언어 기준인 표준 중국어, 숫자와 부호 등의 규칙화된 언어 변이는 기본 해음 형태로 초경제성, 오락성, 참신성, 은유성의 특징을 갖는다. 지역별 고유의 특색 있는 방언은 언어의 경계를 초월하여 다양한 계층의 참여를 유도하는 독특한 해음 형태를 갖는다. 중국인이 생활에서 사용하는 일상어를 사용하여 새로운 의미를 비유적으로 나타내는 신조어와 중국 문화의 시대상을 고스란히 반영하는 유행어는 언어를 즐겁게 표현하려는 젊은 네티즌들의 심리를 반영한 것이다. 이것은 곧 언어 모방을 통한 ‘신해음’이라는 창조적인 언어 탄생의 결과물이며, 시대적 요구가 만들어낸 하나의 언어 변화이다.

While old homophone is simply defined by the similarity in sounds, new homophone has modified form which is not easily inferred though it also has characteristic of consonance like old one. New homophone, mostly internet terms and words that newly appeared, is deliberately transformed for humor and satire with development of IT technology and spread of the Internet in China. Some of the words, widely used on the Internet, are emerged by coincidence of typing error such as entering alphabet instead of Chinese Pinyin and Internet users’ intention for fun. This phenomenon shows that language is able to grow and transform by indirect influence of society, culture and psychology. Moreover, words variation with Pinyin, English, Mandarin, number and signs has simple and basic form, fulfilling efficiency, amusement, freshness and metaphor characteristic. On the other hand, words variation with Chinese dialect which has distinctive form and regional unique characteristic leads people from all walk of life to participate in playing the game of words. New words which signify new meaning metaphorically, using everyday language and trendy words on the Internet which reflect the phases of Chinese culture are appeared by young Internet users’ tendency, expressing language entertainingly.
