The purpose of this study is to design a teaching and learning model for the Korean listening strategies using K-pop and examine the learners' change of strategies use and perception. In the study, the following two research questions were addressed with regard to design a teaching and learning model for the Korean listening strategies using K-pop, and the verification of the learners' change of strategies use & perception. First, Is K-pop useful for KFL learners to learn the listening strategies? Second, What affect does training listening strategies with using K-pop on the learners‘ strategies use and perception? The researcher examined the first research question by designing a teaching and learning model for the Korean listening strategies using K-pop and applied it to the class. The model is combined language learning with training strategies which is based on CALLA(Cognitive Academic Language Learning Approach) model developed by Chamot and O' Mally. The researcher sought the answer to the second research question through experimental classes. The subjects of the experimental classes consisted of 16 adult learners at the beginning level from a University Language Center in Nuevo Leon States, Mexico. The subjects were divided into control and experimental groups and then got classes of the listening strategies using K-pop. The experimental group got listening classes using K-pop with training listening strategies and the control group got the same classes without training listening strategies. The self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the change of learners' listening strategies use and perception. And it was also conducted to explore students' perception on using listening strategies with using K-pop. The results showed that the experimental group improved their listening strategies use. Moreover the group displayed positive attitude, interests and motivations of using listening strategies compared to the one without using it. In addition, it has been found that K-pop is useful to improve listening strategies use. This study, conducted to help KFL learners learn more effectively by training strategies with using K-pop, proved through experimental study that training listening strategies affect positive change of listening strategies use and students' perception. It is hoped that further study will be conducted on effectiveness of language learning strategies use for KFL learners. ,韩语论文,韩语论文题目 |
