본 연구는 한국어과 중국어의 인터넷 통신언어를 중심으로 진행하고 양국의 남성과 여성의 성별에 따른 사용하는 인터넷 통신언어의 특성을 연구하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 더 나아가 한국... 본 연구는 한국어과 중국어의 인터넷 통신언어를 중심으로 진행하고 양국의 남성과 여성의 성별에 따른 사용하는 인터넷 통신언어의 특성을 연구하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 더 나아가 한국어와 중국어 남성과 여성의 인터넷 통신언어의 유사점과 차이점을 통해 양국 여성의 사회적 지위를 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국과 중국의 통신 언어를 매개로 한국과 중국의 인터넷 언어를 성별로 분석했다. 언어는 시대의 변화에 따라 변화한다. 인터넷 시대에 사람들이 카카오톡과 같은 통신 도구를 쓰고 언제나 어디서든 교류할 수 있다. 이런 짧은 문자를 보내고 서로의 정보를 얻는 도구의 채팅 내용이 본 연구의 연구 대상이다. 본 연구는 한국과 중국의 인터넷 통신 도구 카카오톡과 QQ의 채팅 내용을 분석하고 한국 남녀의 사회위치와 중국 남녀의 사회위치를 밝히고자 한다. 연구의 결과는 아래와 같다. 첫째, 한글은 표음 문자이기 때문에 발음과 표기의 변화가 상대적으로 많다. 음운의 첨가, 대치, 축약 등의 변화가 있다. 한자는 표의 문자이기 때문에 어휘와 문법의 변화가 비교적 많다. 둘째, 한국 남성과 여성이 대화할 때에 남성은 비교적 표준 맞춤법을 쓰도록 노력하고 욕설도 많이 안 쓴다. 반면에 한국 여성들이 여성끼리에만 욕설을 쓸 뿐만 아니라 남성에게도 욕설을 쓰는 것을 알 수 있다. 욕설을 쓸 때에 직접 "시발"을 쓰는 것보다 'ㅅㅂ'의 부호 언어를 쓰는 경향이 있다. 중국의 남성과 여성의 대화에서도 여성은 욕설과 금기어를 남성보다 더 많이 쓰고 있다. 옛날보다 양국 여성의 사회위치가 높아졌다의 증거이다. 셋째, 양국의 여성들이 여전히 자기의 입장을 진술할 때에 애매어법을 남성보다 많이 쓰고 있다는 경향이 있다. 이는 여성들이 비교적 다른 사람의 입장을 생각해주기 때문이다. 이런 점에서 양국의 채팅 방식은 모두 Lakoff(1975)의 이론과 일치하다. 넷째, 한국 여성들이 영어 어휘를 쓰는 반면에 중국 여성, 한국 남성, 중국 남성은 모두 이런 경향이 없다. 다섯째, 중국 남성과 여성은 비교적 신조어를 많이 쓰지만 한국인들이 신조어를 안 쓰고 있다는 사실이 있다. 한국인들이 신조어에 대신 축약어를 많이 쓰고 있다. 본 연구는 연구의 대상이 된 채팅 문자들이 각각 다른 나라에서 다른 나이의 사람들에게 수집되기 때문에 채팅의 양상이 일정하지 않다. 나이 때문에 채팅의 방식도 달라질 수 있는 점에 더 많은 문자를 모이지 못한 한계가 있다. 나중에 더 구체적인 분석이 나오기 위하여 더 많은 채팅 정보를 수집해야 하고 연구를 보완해야 한다.

In the old days male and female were different and the society was male-dominated. Men and women talked in different ways and many studies on gender dialects proved that women were weaker than men socially both in Korea and China. They talked in different ways and used different words. But on the Internet where people don't look at each other men and women talk in almost the same way. But people talk more formally when they talk to the other gender, that is when a man talks to a woman, or a woman talks to a man. This shows that men respects women more than in the old days. And women use more cursing words when talking to men. Therefore the author believes that women are respected more than before. But women still have some traditional traits while giving personal ideas with "I think...". In the study of gender dialects, the theory of the context on the Internet plays a very import role.
