언어 체계는 용어, 어휘, 문법 3가지 요소로 구성되어 있다. 그 중에서 어휘는 한 민족의 문화적 의미를 가장 많이 가지고 있을 뿐만 아니라 한 민족의 문화적 특징도 잘 보여준다. 학자들은 ... 언어 체계는 용어, 어휘, 문법 3가지 요소로 구성되어 있다. 그 중에서 어휘는 한 민족의 문화적 의미를 가장 많이 가지고 있을 뿐만 아니라 한 민족의 문화적 특징도 잘 보여준다. 학자들은 언어는 문화의 메신저가 되는 것은 물론이고, 한 민족의 문화를 반영하는 거울이라고 하였다. 그렇기 때문에 나라마다 민족마다 가진 문화적 배경이 서로 다르기 마련이고, 언어와 문화는 서로 떨어질 수 없을 정도로 긴밀하게 관계를 맺고 있다. 사람은 반드시 언어 기호를 통하여 알고 있는 정보나 자기 생각과 감정을 서로 전달 하야만 한다. 즉, 의사소통이라고 한다. 그러나 의사소통의 과정에서 자기 생각은 어떻게 명확하게 전달할 수 있을까? 이는 제2 언어, 즉 비모국어의 학습자들이 그 언어의 응용 능력과 문화의 이해 능력을 꼭 갖춰야 하는 요구가 있다. 학습자들이 어휘를 학습할 때 단어를 이해하고자 하는 외재적인 의미밖에 더 중요한 것은 문화 어휘의 내재적인 의미를 파악해야 한다. 예를 들어, “국화” 등 식물 명사들과, “용”、“여우”、“돼지” 등 동물 명사들이 거대한 상상 공간을 갖추고 있다. 우리가 의사소통할 때 반드시 파악해야 하는 것은 이런 상징적、비유적 의미를 함축하고 있는 어휘들이다. 그리고 외재적인 의미가 요한 것은 바로 그 단어의 내재적인 의미이다. 왜냐하면, 이러한 어휘의 내재적인 의미는 한 언어가 다채로운 표현이기 때문이다. 예컨대, “매화”、“대나무”、같지만, 나라의 배경 문화에 따라서 내재적으로 함축하는 의미를 서로 반대하는 경우도 있다. 한국은 백의민족이라고 불리는 만큼 흰색에 좋은 이미지를 부여한다. 그런데 중국 문화권을 살펴보면 흰색에 부정적인 의미를 부여한다. 그래서 이러한 문화적 어휘를 상황에 따라 잘 파악하지 못하면 문화적 충돌 때문에 의사소통의 실패를 초래할 수 있다. 또 하나는 어휘의 내재적인 의미를 잘 이해하지만 남녀의 사고방식과 관념감정 및 사회의식 때문에 어휘의 표현 방법에 차이가 생긴 것이다. 그 차이가 존재해서 서로 의사소통할 때 모순이나 오해를 유발하는 경우가 많다. 예를 들어, 어떤 어휘가 남성에게 좋은 이미지를 부여하는 반면에 여성에게 부정적인 이미지를 부여한다. 예컨대, 남성을 '호랑이'로 비유하면 모든 사람들은 그 남성을 용맹한 영웅으로 생각하게 된다. 하지만 여성을 '호랑이'로 비유하면 중국 문화권이나 한국 문화권에서는 흉하고 피하고 싶은 여성이라고 생각하게 된다. 이렇게 똑같은 동물 비유 표현인데 남녀차이로 인해 의미하는 바가 완전히 달라진다. 그래서 상대방이 말을 들었을 때 오해나 갈등이 쉽게 생길 수 있다. 본 연구는 동물과 관련된 비유 표현을 중심으로 한국과 중국의 남녀 비유적 표현에 대한 고찰과 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 제 2 언어 학습자들에게 문화 충돌을 예방하기 위해 언어문화 교육 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 성별 차이의 영향을 받는 비유 표현은 무엇인지, 함축된 의미가 무엇인지에 대해 구체적인 조사 연구를 진행하여 제 2 언어 학습자들을 위한 언어문화 교육 방안을 제출하고자 한다. 먼저 한국과 중국의 비유와 관련된 이론을 제시하고 두 나라의 비유 표현을 분석하고자 한다. 다음에는 설문조사를 통하여 두 나라 언어문화권의 영향을 미치는 일상생활 속에 나타나는 비유 표현은 어떤지, 동물의 비유 의미의 공통점과 차이점은 무엇인지, 언어문화와 남녀 차이의 영향을 받아 생기는 긍정과 부정적 부분에 대해 분석하고 예를 통해 설명하고자 한다

Many scholars held the view that culture is guided by language and it also reflects a nation’s culture. Therefore, language and culture is inseparable and closely connected with each other. Through linguistic symbol, the human beings communicate with each other, and transmit their own thoughts and feelings, which can be called communication.. However, to deliver the personal thinking explicitly require the learners of second language, that is , the non-native speakers shall possess the capacity of language use and cultural understanding.. For example, the specific animal and plant nouns, like “prunus mume”, “bamboo”, “chrysanthemum”, or “dragon”, “fox” and “pig”, can provide you great imaginary space. Therefore we should study these vocabularies with symbolizing meanings and metaphor meanings thoroughly during communication. Moreover, due to the different cultural background, some words with the same literal meanings may have contrary implications. For example, Korea is generally called “the nation in white”, and the “white” here is endowed with commendatory. However, in Chinese culture, “white” is always associated with ominous meaning. Therefore , the inappropriate understanding of the implications of these cultural words leads to the unsuccessful communication due to culture conflict. In another case, although we have understood the inner meaning of the vocabulary, differences regarding meaning and expression exist since the differences, in terms of thinking methods, conceptions and emotion, between male and female. We tend to have a lot of conflicts and misunderstandings in communication just because of the existence of these differences. For instance, some terms are commendetory to man while being derogatory to woman. For example, no matter in Chinese culture or in Korean culture, the term of ‘this man is like a tiger’ describes how a man is full of valour and vigour. However, if a woman is described as a tiger, then the term will be ‘this woman is a tigress’, which illustrates the characters of a woman being bad, evil, disgusting rather than the heroism of men. As a result, this shows how misunderstanding and conflict can be led to. Therefore, we did some research and survey about the meaning of analogy, especially about animals, to different gender. And then, in order to prevent the cultural conflicts for second language learner, we gave some education programme on the basis of our research results. Besides, we also carried out some specific investigations about difference of the analogy meaning as well as connotation for man or woman. Initially, we gave some explanation for the theoretical background and meaning about metaphor in China and korea. Next, we summarize the commonly used metaphors in our life through the questionnaire survey asnd research of Korean textbooks. We also compared the common ground and difference of the animals analogy meaning. In addition, different gender could also affect the language culture, so we analyzed commendatory and derogatory of different sentence.
