This thesis focuses on Vietnamese students who’re studying in Korea as an object and conducted to find difference in the Korean cultural acculturation according to their characteristics. To realize this purpose, we does questionnaire surveys on their educational backgrounds in Vietnam, study type and life in Korean and other personal characteristics, so as to research the differences among different student group with their individual adapting situations. Experience in Vietnam as an independent variable for results analysis (gender, age, residence, Korean study period, Korea Cultural understanding around), study type (government expenditure, laboratories, schools, charity), experience in Korea (length of stay, living fee, working experience, Proficiency in Korean), the dependent variable are overall cultural adaptation and four sub-factors (school acculturation, cultural life acculturation, proficiency in Korean, and relation with Korean). This investigation made a survey with the object of 330 Vietnamese studentsin Vietnam Students annual meeting event held at Kyunghee University, November 29, 2015 and it also used T-test and One-Way ANOVA and got a statistical result of p<.001, p<.01, p<.05.  Eventually, on the aspect of culture, it manifests that Vietnamese students have a low score on the Korean cultural acculturation. That is to say that is not easy to Vietnamese students to acculturate on Korean Culture and they have a lot of problems in not only Korean but also in relations with Korean especially relation with “sunbae”- senior in school.  Based on statistical analysis about cultural differences adapt to the characteristics of the students, support system for Vietnamese student of Vietnam government, Korean government and Korean school (Chungnam National University) and problems in Korean cultural acculturation of Vietnamese students through interview, we try to some policy implications for the further effective cultural adaptation support measures for not only Vietnamese student but also international students who’re studying in Korean. Eventually the most important point to improvement support system is Vietnamese student is not one monolithic group and they should be supported depending on the type of students.  This thesis is examined the differences in acculturation experience, study type, the experience of Korea of Vietnamese Students. If previous thesis just examined the cultural adjustment focused on the personal characteristics and socio-economic characteristics, this thesis concentrated on differences in culture adapted according to the type of study. And not only reveal a correlation between the variables, significance of this is that we provide policy implications for checking the current support schemes to try to improve it in the future.
