본고에서는 학문 목적 학습자를 대상으로 한 한국어 교재 내에서의 문학 작품을 파악, 분석함으로써 교재 내에서의 문학작품 활용 방안을 찾고자 했다.
분석의 대상은 건국대학교 「한국어」, 고려대학교 「재미있는 한국어」, 동국대학교 「함께 배워요 한국어」, 서강대학교 「서강 한국어」, 서울대학교 「한국어」, 성균관대학교 「배우기 쉬운 한국어」, 연세대학교 「연세 한국어」, 이화여자대학교 「이화 한국어](가나다 순) 등 8종이다.
Ⅱ장에서는 한국어 교재에서의 문학 작품 수록 현황을 살펴보기 위해 먼저 교재별로 시대, 장르, 제시형태, 의사소통 기능 등의 항목을 나누어 어떻게 수록되어있나 살펴보았다.
첫째, 전체적으로는 시대 및 장르의 비율이 맞는 듯하였으나, 교재별로는 편중되어 있는 현상을 볼 수 있었다.
둘째, 제시형태는 발췌, 요약, 전문 수록 중에서 전문 수록이 제일 많았다. 하지만 이것은 운문 문학이 많이 소개되었기 때문이며, 산문문학에서는 전문 수록이 거의 없었다.
셋째, 의사소통 기능 중에서는 읽기와 말하기로 연계되는 활동이 많았는데 그에 비해 쓰기와 듣기는 저조한 비율을 보였다.
Ⅲ장에서는 교재에 나타나는 활동 양상을 크게 ‘내용 확인 문제, 추론하기, 경험 이야기하기, 자신의 생각 표현하기, 관련 정보 습득, 문법/어휘/표현, 배경지식 떠올리기, 단순소개(감상), 개작활동’ 9가지로 구분하여 각각 어떻게 수록되어 있나 살펴보았다.
그 결과, 대부분의 교재가 ‘내용 확인 문제’라는 활동으로 이루어져 있었고 그 다음은 추론하기, 자신의 생각 표현하기, 경험 이야기하기가 그 뒤를 잇고 있었다. 이외에 학습자들의 흥미를 끌 만한 개작활동 등의 다른 활동들은 많이 나타나지 않는 결과를 보였다.
학습자들의 학습 의지 및 학습의 필요성을 고취시키기 위해 문학 작품의 현대적 수용 양상 및 한국 사회에서 그 문학 작품의 요소가 언어적, 문화적으로 어떻게 사용되고 있는지 더 실제적이고 구체적인 제시가 있어야 할 것이다.
문학작품이 외국인 학습자들에게 한국의 언어, 문화를 알 수 있도록 하는 하나의 활용 대상이라는 것은 누구나 인정하는 것이며, 그에 따라 필요성과 가치가 대두되고 있다. 이러한 인식을 바탕으로 본고에서도 학습 목적 학습자를 대상으로 한 다양한 교재를 통해 실제적으로 교육 현장에서 문학 작품이 어떻게 활용되고 있나 보고자 하였다. 현황 파악이나 분석 등은 대체적으로 만족할만한 성과가 있었지만 좀 더 실제적인 활용 방안을 제시하는 데에는 한계가 있었다는 것이 아쉽다. 앞으로 거듭 연구하여 실제적인 활용 방안을 개발하도록 하겠다.

Through analyzing the literary works in Korean studying materials for learners in studying wise, one tried to find different ways of the usage of the literary works.
8 textbooks, [Korean] by Kunkuk University, [Fun!Fun! Korean] by Korea University, [Let’s study Korean together] by Dongguk University, [Sogang Korean] by Sogang University, [Korean] by Seoul University, [Easy to learn Korean] by SungKyunKwan University, [Yonsei Korean] by Yonsei University, and [Ewha Korean] by Ewha Women University, were analyzed.
In chapter 2, it discusses about how period, genre, presentation form, communication of Korean were displayed in each textbook to look at literary work in Korean teaching textbooks.
Firstly, it seems like the ratio of period to genre are fairly balanced, and there were not unbalance in ratios in all textbooks.
Secondly, in presentation form, among excerpt, abstract, and professional content, the professional content occupied the most in all textbooks. However, this situation occurred because most of the literary work was poetry; thus, in a prose, there were almost none of professional contents.
Thirdly, in communication skill speaking and reading activities were many in all textbooks, but writing and listening activities were only few in textbooks.
In chapter3, the activity tendencies in the textbook, comprehension, inference, talking about experience, expressing own opinion, achieving related information, mechanics, thinking about the background information, introduction, and adaptation activities, were analyzed by how they are included in the textbook.
As a result, most of the textbooks contain comprehension activities, then inference, expressing own opinion, and talking about experience were the followings. Other activities that may attract learners to learn was not composed in the textbooks.
To inspire learners, there should be an acceptance of modern literature, and special suggestion of how such literary works’ components are used in language wise and cultural wise.
The fact that literary works are one of the media for foreign learners to know Korean and Korean culture is widely acknowledgeable. As a result, literary works’ necessity and values are on the rise. On the basis of this, this thesis discusses about how literary works are used in classes. Although there were a few analysis and comprehension of current situations, but suggestion of realistic application plans were lacking. From further research on the field, realistic application plans would be developed.
