The purpose of this is to suggest effective teaching method on similar grammars for Chinese Korean learners. First of all, a questionnaire was completed by Chinese Korean learners so that the similar grammars that have been made most mistakes about are selected. Then, based on the result of analyzing Korean teaching material, an effective teaching method suggested.
Chapter One explains the purpose and necessity of this research. A great deal of relevant work concerning the comparison, analyzing and suggestion of certain similar grammars has been studied before this . However, most of the work is limited to the teaching of the Korean language within South Korea. Therefore, this suggests the specific subject and research method for Chinese Korean learners.
Chapter Two focuses on similar grammars in teaching Korean grammar as well as the necessity of using the mother tongue. Firstly, this presents the content and aim of grammar courses in the practical teaching of the Korean language. Secondly, this gives a definition of similar grammar. The feasibility and necessity of utilizing the method of learning the mother tongue is suggested as well.
Chapter Three compares and analyses the Korean teaching material used in China and lists typical similar grammars in the elementary level. Firstly, Chinese Korean learners have been asked to complete a questionnaire, and the similar grammars that have been made most mistakes about are selected. Secondly, auxiliary word‘이/가, 은/는’ and the suffix of linking word‘-고, -아/어/여서’which have been made most mistakes about, are analyzed as subjects in the teaching material. The result of the analysis shows that the learners still have great difficulty in distinguishing similar grammars due to the fact that there is not enough explanation about the similarity and difference between similar grammars.
Chapter Four, based on the analyses result of Chapter three, suggests the effective teaching method for Chinese Korean learners. Teaching principle applied to Chinese education was studied before suggesting specific teaching method and course design. Lastly,practical teaching method of the auxiliary word ‘이/가, 은/는’and the suffix of linking word ‘-고, -아/어/여서’is suggested.
Chapter Five summarizes the content, importance and outcome of the research in this . This chapter also makes it clear deficiency of this research, as well as the specific subject of future research.
