This was to research education methods of Korean honorific system for foreigners. Korean is a language that the honorific system has developed. It is because the Korean honorific mode is realized through consideration of relation with speakers, hearers, and objects that wanted to be spoken, together with a grammar category called final endings or words. In Korea, by using the honorific system, manners and respect on counterparts are expressed and rank order is maintained. So, the honorific system is one of education items that should be studied when Korean learners learn Korean.

In the first chapter, the purpose of the study, advanced studies, and study methods were dealt with.

In the second chapter, it was looked into that the Korean honorific mode was divided into grammatical character and social cultural character. For education of the Korean honorific system, overall honorific modes were examined.

In the third chapter, it was endeavored to select education contents of the Korean honorific system for foreigners. Above all, mistakes which foreign learners made were looked into when they used the Korean honorific mode. The mistakes were examined again by dividing them into mistakes in a grammatical aspect and a social cultural aspect. Later, causes that happen when foreign learners use the Korean honorific system were observed. Also, the causes were looked into by dividing them into causes in the grammatical aspect and the social cultural aspect.

In the fourth chapter, by aggregating all contents until now, education methods of the honorific system for foreign Korean learners were studied. About grammatical character, what terms should be used and what levels they should be taught in were researched. Then, it was suggested that they should learn Korean, by presenting the standard of use of the honorific system. Plus, it was proposed that the honorific system should be used in what situations. Moreover, it was presented that the honorific system should be used in what relation. Thereafter, using role playing and writing, it was made that use of the honorific mode was internalized and acquired.
