본 연구는 우화소설을 활용하여 문화 교육 방안을 모색하고자 하겠다. 중국인 고급 학습자를 대상으로 연구하겠다. 문학 작품을 통해서는 민족의 생활 가운데 끊지 않고 흐르는 선인들의 정신 즉 지혜, 가치관, 정서 등을 배워서 인간답게 살아가야 할 방향을 찾을 수 있기 때문에 문화교육에 대해 큰 도움이 될 수 있다.
본 연구는 문학 교육의 목적과 필요성을 알아보고 문학 교육과 문화 교육의 연관성을 살펴보겠다. 문학 작품을 통한 문화 교육의 필요성과 한국 문화 교육의 현황을 일일로 알아보겠다. 문학 작품 중의 우화소설을 교육 현장에 활용하기에 앞서 고전문학 텍스트의 선정 기준 살펴보고 이에 따라서 우화소설의 선정 기준을 어떻게 세워야 하는지를 분석하겠다. 그리고 고급 학습자를 위한 문화 교육 항목을 선정하도록 하겠다. 문화 교육 항목 선정과 기준에 따라서 고급학습자에게 필요한 생활문화와 기치·정신문화를 바탕으로 <장끼전>의 문화 교육을 항목을 선정하겠다.
마지막 부분은 선정 기준을 바탕으로 한국어 교육에서 실제 수업에서 우화소설 작품을 선정하겠다. 우화소설을 선정된 <장끼전>에서 나오는 한국 문화를 뚜렷하게 반영하는 원문 장면을 제시하고 원문을 분석하고 한국 문화를 분석하는 방식으로 연구를 진행하겠다.
