This study aims to search a measure to study Korean literatures while having fun for Korean language leaners. A language is the most core factor for the culture owned by a race. And, a representative cultural product using the language is the literature work. The author of this study establishes an education measure that studying from the entry level 2 through the comparison similar works in each countries would be the better selection for the lesson method using literature works by Korean language education institutions.
This study points problems in each level by reviewing statuses of literature works in entry, middle and high level learning materials of five universities that take critical roles in the Korean language education for foreigners in Chapter II. For the literature lesson to foreigners, selecting literature works in the perspective of foreign leaners would be more effective because their interests can be drawn faster since they may think the works are similar to certain works in their countries. Therefore, selecting literature works that not only express Koreans' ways of thinking, but are written in languages of foreign learners would be more effective.
In Chapter III, the reason for comparing literature works of Korea and China is that it is rare for foreign learners to have instant interests at the moment reading other country's literatures. Therefore, finding similar literature works with ones in learners' countries and comparing two works are considered to be answers for foreigners leaning Korean language while having fun. To understand literature works existing between Korea and China, differences between modern novels of both countries are reviewed. And the review is made regarding the necessity of literature education and its measure through Korean literatures.
In Chapter IV, the world's general culture and Korea's unique culture are displayed by comparing cultures of Korea and learners' countries through literature works. Literature works showing Koreans' thoughts, emotions, histories and social situation even while being not general have great meanings to understand the culture of target language. Korean learning through literatures is meaningful for understanding the literature and the culture of Korea and for improving communication skills of foreign learners through such process as well.
Finally, the comparison study on literature works of Korea and China provides a great help to understand the cultural relation between the two countries so that the study is conducted for foreigners learning Korean language to command better Korean expression and more fluent Korean speaking.

본 논문은 한국어 학습자들에게 한국문학 작품을 재미있게 공부할 수 있는 방법을 모색하는 것이 주요 목적이다. 언어는 한 민족이 지난 문화에 가장 핵심적인 요소다. 그리고 언어를 사용한 대표적인 문화적 산물은 문학작품이다. 현재 한국어 교육기관들의 문학작품으로 수업을 하려고 하는데 어느 단계부터 어떤 방식으로 어떤 작품으로 하는 것이 더 효과적이 될 수 있는 것에 대해 필자는 한국어교육의 이 과정에서 각각 나라의 비슷한 작품들의 비교를 통해서 초급 2단계부터 수업하는 것이 더 효과적이라는 교육 방안을 마련하였다.
본고에서는 먼저 Ⅱ장에서는 지금까지 외국인 학습자들에게 한국어교육에 있어서 중요한 교육기관으로서 역할을 담당하고 있는 다섯 개 대학교의 초급부터 중급, 고급 교재 중에서 문학작품의 현황을 살펴보고 각급의 문제점을 제시하였다. 외국인 학습자를 대상으로 가르치는 문학교육에서는 문학작품을 선택할 때 학습자들의 시각으로 문학작품을 선정하는 것이 더 효과적이 될 수 있다. 왜냐하면 학습자들은 자기 나라의 어떤 작품하고 비슷하다고 생각하기 때문에 빨리 흥미를 끌 수 있다. 그래서 문학작품을 선택할 때 한국 사람들의 사고방식을 표현할 수 있는 뿐만 아니라 외국인 학습자들의 언어로 돼 있는 작품하고 비교해서 수업하는 것이 더 효과적 아닐까라는 생각이다.
Ⅲ장에서는 한·중 두 나라의 문학작품을 비교하는 이유는 외국인 학습자들은 처음에는 다른 나라의 문학작품을 보자마자 흥미를 줄 수 있는 게 많지 않다. 그래서 한국문학 작품을 잘 이해하고 흥미를 줄 수 있는 방법은 바로 학습자들의 나라와 비슷한 문학작품을 찾아내고 두 작품의 비교를 통해서 한국어를 재미있게 배울 수 있다고 생각하다. 한·중 두 나라 사이에 존재하는 문학작품의 이해를 위해 현대소설 사이의 차이점들을 살펴보았고 한국문학 작품을 통해서 문학교육의 필요성과 그 교육 방안에 대해서 살펴보았다.
Ⅳ장에서는 문학작품을 통해 한국과 자기 나라의 문화를 비교해봄으로써 세계의 보편적인 문화와 한국의 특수한 문화를 보여줄 수 있다. 또 보편적이지는 않으나 한국인의 사상이나 정서, 역사나 사회적인 상황을 보여줄 수 있는 문학작품은 목표언어의 문화를 이해하는 데 큰 의의가 있는 것이다. 문학을 통한 한국어교육은 한국의 문학과 문화를 이해하고 이를 통해 외국인 학습자의 의사소통 능력을 향상시키는 데도 큰 의의가 있는 것이다.
마지막으로 한·중 양국의 문학작품에 대한 비교 연구를 통해서 양국 간의 문화관계를 이해하는 데 도움이 될 수 있고 한국어를 학습하는 외국인들이 좀 더 한국적 표현과 유창한 한국어의 구사에 도움을 목적으로 연구하였다.
