국 문 초 록
본 연구는 결혼이주여성들의 한국 내 삶을 바탕으로 이들이 기대하는 다문화교육과 서비스는 무엇인가를 알아보고자 하는 데에 목적이 있다. 결혼이주에 대한 정착 초기 기대는 무엇이며 한국 내 삶속에서 부딪히는 어려움과 문제점이 현재의 삶에 어떻게 반영되고 있는가를 살펴보고자 한다. 이러한 반영을 토대로 어려움의 근본 원인을 알아보고 결혼이주여성들이 한국사회에 기대하는 실질적 다문화교육(서비스)과 이러한 기대가 시사 하는바가 무엇인지 파악하고자 한다.
연구목적 달성을 위하여 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다.
첫째, 결혼이주여성의 한국으로의 이주동기와 정착초기 기대는 무엇인가?
둘째, 결혼이주여성이 경험한 정착과정에서의 어려움과 문제점은 무엇인가?
셋째, 결혼이주여성이 기대하는 다문화교육(서비스)과 그 시사점은 무엇인가?
이와 같은 연구문제를 해결하기 위해 서울시 ＯＯ구에 거주하는 결혼이주여성 중 중국인 2명과 베트남인 3명을 선정하였다 2013년 7월에서 9월까지 3개월의 기간 동안 개인별 2회씩 약 4시간의 면담을 실시하였다. 면담내용은 레코더로 녹음하여 녹음내용을 전사 후 의미구조에 따라 코딩하였다. 의미에 따른 중심 주제를 도출하여 질적 분석한 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 결혼이주여성의 이주동기와 정착초기 기대에 관한 결과이다. 주된 이주 동기는 경제적 이유로 나타났다. 기대로는 친정에 대한 금전적 지원기대와 본국에서의 삶보다 더 희망적일 것이라는 기대감이다. 실망의 이유로는 낯선 곳에서 지지받지 못하고 남편과 한국사회로부터 소외되는 두려움과 외로움으로 나타났다.
둘째, 결혼이주여성의 정착과정 중 어려움과 문제점에 대한 결과이다. 그 결과로는 1) 결혼이주여성으로서의 어려움, 2) 배우자와의 갈등, 3) 한국어교육의 문제점, 4) 차별의 상처, 5) 다문화교육(서비스)에 대한 거부감 등의 결과가 도출 되었다.
셋째, 결혼이주여성들이 기대하는 실질적인 교육과 서비스는 무엇인가에 대한 결과에서는 1) 결혼초기 안정적 정착을 위한 동향인(同鄕人) 연결서비스 멘토-멘티 1:1 프로그램과 동향인(同鄕人) 선배의 강의 ‘선배님, 한국이 궁금해요’ 집단 프로그램 기대, 2) 배우자를 대상으로 하는 배우자존중교육과 법 교육기대, 3) 한국어교육의 양적·질적 확대와 피 교육 자격에 대한 유연성과 자율성 기대, 4) 학교현장의 다문화 분리 수업 폐지와 다문화 호칭에 대한 제고 기대, 5) 결혼이주여성을 위한 인터넷쇼핑교육과 경제교육, 결혼이주 선배의 정체성과 자존감 회복교육, 정서적 지원 가능한 산후조리사 서비스 기대 등의 결과가 도출 되었다.
본 연구가 갖는 의의는 한국정착에 어려움과 문제점에 대한 참여자들의 경험을 존중하고 이들의 진솔한 이야기를 토대로 경험적 분석이 이루어졌다는 것이다. 이는 결혼이주여성들이 겪는 대부분 어려움의 근본 원인이 한 인간으로서 존중 받지 못할 때임을 확인할 수 있었다는 데에 그 의의가 있다. 또한 기존의 논문에서는 연구되지 않은, 결혼이주여성들의 다문화교육에 대한 기대를 진술 그대로 반영하고 구체적인 프로그램으로 제시하였다는데 의의가 있다.
본 연구의 결과는 결혼이주여성들의 한국정착에 방해가 되는 다양한 어려움들에 대한 심층적 이해를 도울 수 있는 자료를 제공한다. 또한 어려움들의 근본 원인이 차별과 무시로부터 비롯된다는 것은 다문화 가족구성원과 한국사회가 결혼이주여성의 ‘욕구’와 ‘인격’에 대한 존중의 중요성을 시사한다. 마지막으로 참여자들이 기대하는 다문화교육은 앞으로 결혼이주여성들의 정착을 위한 교육 및 서비스 개발 시, 보다 실질적인 프로그램 개발의 필요성을 시사한다.

Abstract
This study aims to research on the multi-cultural education and service anticipated by the marriage immigrant females based on their lives in Korea. What is the expectation in the initial settlement on the marriage immigration and how the difficulty and problem faced in the life in Korea are reflected to the current life are reviewed. Based on such reflection, the fundamental cause of difficulty, the actual multi-cultural education (service) anticipated by the marriage immigrant females for Korean society and the implication of such anticipation are investigated.
To achieve the study goal, following study issues are selected:
First, What are causes to immigrate to Korea and anticipations in the initial settlement of the marriage immigrant females?
Second, What are problems and issues in the settlement process experienced by marriage immigrant females?
Third, What is the multi-cultural education (service) anticipated by the marriage immigrant females and its implication?
To find answers for such issues, 2 Chinese females and 3 Vietnamese females from the marriage immigrant females living in OO-gu (district), Seoul. Approx. total 4 hours of interview in two session per one person are conducted in the period of 3 months from July to September, 2013. Each interview is recorded in a recorderand the recorded material is coded according to the meaning structure after complete monitoring. The result of qualitative analysis based on the centric agenda according to each meaning is as followings:
First, according to the result regarding causes to immigrate to Korea and anticipations in the initial settlement of the marriage immigrant females, the main immigrant cause is found to be the economic reason. The anticipations included the financial support for the home family and the hope for better life than in the home country.
The fear for being not supported in the foreign place or being alienated from the husband and the Korean society are found to be the major cause of disappointment.
Second, according to the result on problems and issues in the settlement process experienced by marriage immigrant females, 1) the difficulty for being a marriage immigrant female 2) the conflict with the spouse 3) the issue of Korean language education 4) the wound from discrimination 5) the repulsion on the multi-cultural education (service) are highlighted.
Third, from the result on what the multi-cultural education (service) is anticipated by the marriage immigrant females, 1) Mentor-Mentee 1:1 program, a service connecting between people from the same country and the group program 'Senior, I am curious in Korea', lectures by earlier settlers from the same country for the stable settlement in the initial marriage 2) the anticipation for 'Spouse Respect Education' and 'Leal Education' for spouses 3) the anticipation for the quality and quantity expansion of Korean language education and the flexibility and independency on the student qualification 4) the anticipation to close 'multi-cultural' separation class in schools and to reconsider the naming as 'multi-culture' 5) anticipations for the internet shopping training and the economic education for marriage immigrant females, training for the identity and the self-respect recovery for earlier marriage immigrant settlers, the anticipation for after-birth care service enabled for emotional support are highlighted.
The meaning of this study would be found on the performance of empirical analysis respecting the experience of participant on difficulties and issues in settling in Korea based on their truthful stories. Also, another meaning is on the finding that the fundamental cause of most difficulties experienced by marriage immigrant females is from being not respected as a human. Another meanings are on the direct reflection of the anticipation of marriage immigrant females regarding the multi-cultural education as their statement and the presentation of the anticipation in a concrete program while no previous study handled.
The result of this study provides materials for in-depth understandings on various difficulties interfering marriage immigrant females' settlements in Korea. Also, the fact that the fundamental cause of difficulty is from the discrimination and disrespect implies the importance of respect from the multi-cultural family members and the Korean society to 'the desire' and 'the personality' of marriage immigrant females. Finally, the multi-cultural education anticipated by the participants implies the necessity of more practical program development on the future development of education and service for marriage immigrant females' settlements.
