Recently, in Chinese mainland, HongKong, Macao and Taiwan area, it has been caused to pay a great attention to the Korean TV series. It has already become a new phenomenon. The more korean dreams become popular, the more Chinese people are interest of the traditional Korean cultures. Because of these interests and curiousness, a hot trend of visiting korean will happen. Korean film and drama stars and famous singers endorse clothing, cosmetics and related products which are popular in China.
The aim of this research is to understand the reasons why Chinese consumers choose Korean contents.
The results of the research are represented as followings:
Firstly, a majority of audiences who watch Korean dramas are between 18 to 35 years old.
Secondly, there are many reasons for the people to watch the Korean TV series. It can make people relax and the boring time interest. Also it can make more common topics for the people to communicate.
Thirdly, Which effects bring the people to watch Korean dramas? After watch that, people choose actively to learn the Korean language. They also want to take a tour to the place, where the TV series took a picture. There are also many people imitate the clothes and hair styles shown in the TV series, and purchase the articles appearing in the Korean TV series.
In conclusion, because of some differences in age groups, working classes and educational levels, Chinese audiences engender different audience group. The development of Korean dramas is satisfied with the need of audiences.
