It is general that teaching learning are being made centering around
language ability to be necessary for coming to a mutual understanding
like speaking and listening in Korean language education. However, interest for the ability of letter language gets to come into being after
ability to come to a mutual understanding improves to a certain degree
in learners. So, effective guidance scheme for the teaching learning of letter language is necessary. Out of ability of letter language, as for reading, there is great meaning in that one may learn information and knowledge through the course, and it has merit that it is easy to expand to activity for other language ability such as speaking, listening and writing.
As for literature text to be utilized mainly in the reading education of Korean language, Korean literature text is most. Because reason for
doing culture education as well as language education through literature
education is great. However, presenting unfamiliar Korean literature text for the first to foreigner learners that linguistic ability is not sufficient will burden learners, and it will make them difficulty for learning Korean language all the more.
So, this researcher studied guidance scheme of reading which utilizes
fable text to be literature text to be accustomed to learners in primary
grade stage to be the preceding stage in thinking that Korean literature
texts like narrative are presented in intermediate grade or high-grade
stage. Reading lessons of Korean language which utilizes fable text
may have influence such as extension of reading ability of Korean lan-
guage and confidence, interest, and familiarity for Korean language etc.
for learners. Studying text to be familiar like this as goal language will be help to improving ability of goal language. If learners get to meet with Korean literature text of similar contents and structure after practising reading activity like this, learners may understand more easily.
So, in this thesis, I structuralized fable text in reading education of Korean language and examined how this may be applied to lessons. In the chapter II, I analyzed structure through representative fable of gratitude type, re-venge type, and wit type out of types of fable text. It is deemed that learning for type and structure of fable text will show affirmative effect in meeting with Korean literature text of similar type and structure. So, type classification and structure analysis of fable text are necessary. And, if fable text which will be learned to learners by each type was chosen, course to reconstitute it by fitting to the level of learners is necessary.
Then, in this thesis, I reconstituted fable text by fitting to the level of language ability of primary grade learners as the example. Because understanding degree of learners shows great difference according as with which vocabulary and grammar etc. it will be described even in case of text of same contents. So, I presented scheme to reconstitute fable text through correcting or deleting and adding etc. with vocabulary and grammar etc. which appear in teaching material of primary grade Korean language and whose use frequency is high. And, as to how text reconstituted like this will be utilized in accordance with the stage of reading lessons and how we will educate it to learners, I presented by classifying into stage before reading, stage in the course of reading, and stage after reading.
In the chapter III, I presented text which will be utilized in real lessons on the basis of making fable text studied in the chapter II into type and reconstitution. And, I chose and presented activities to be suitable for primary grade learners in accordance with the stage of reading lessons of Korean language.
Study goal of this thesis is in trying to present direction to utilize fable to be universal text as preceding study course before meeting with Korean literature text in the reading education of Korean language.
