This study aims to investigate Korean learners' pitch pattern and state its tendency. Meanings of the vocabulary in Korean can not be distinguished by the intonation and height. This is the reason why intonation and stress are not emphasized in Korean education. However, the mother tongues of Korean learners have intonation and their Korean pronunciation is highly influenced by the intonation and stress of their mother tongue. This research will study pitch pattern of Korean learners from different languages and suggest basic materials for the education of Korean intonation. For this purpose, the researcher will study Korean learners from China, Japan and Vietnam and their intonation in word and sentence level. Words will be divided and studied in two syllable, three syllable and four syllable and declarative sentence will be studied.
