This research began is interest about increasing with Gyeongsangnam-do area's multicultural family children's school life activity afternoon continuously. Upside of multicultural family grasp all sorts of problem that lived in the south korea in educational side, progressed research to grope children's education activity support and the policy alternative. This research progressed multicultural family children in the primary school. Mother's nationality of Gyeongsangnam-do Changwon-si and Masan-si was consisted of 10 elementary students of 3 Japaneses, 4 Filpinos, 1 Vietnamese and 1 Thailander. Enforced the depth interview with child, parents and teacher for multicultural family child's school.
Specific subject of study is that multicultural family child's school life analyzed laying stress on class, relation with school fellows, interaction with teacher and activity examined laying stress on interaction with parents and education activity.
If examine priority class in multicultural family child's school life, they have the lack of dictation in language course, the low of understanding class, difficulty of society subject, distracted class attitude, the less self existence, estrangement of awarness about result. And they experience that encounter with age group and teacher. and that case if mother's confrontation attitude is active, harassment would be discontinued. if mother's confrontation attitude is negative, there was continued. Teacher's special quality of multicultural family has a low of understanding and we can know that teacher need to have a study of multiculturalism.
By next time, relation with school fellows, received bantering existed. And according to the relation with friends, the most act alone and have the attitude of negative and passive.
If see interaction of children of multicultural family and teacher, there was case that suffer psychological pain by teacher's extraordinary question and short-answer style reply, instigation on teacher's question. And the importance of teacher's role appeared from part that solve general children's bantering. Also, multicultural family children wanted to receive teacher's interest similarly with general children, and there was case that there did not have any interaction with teacher because of having no effect on it. Together, with teacher's the less of understanding about multicultural family and the problem that have difficulty of communication and comprehension because of mothers's the less of communication skills, these aggravate difficultly of education activity for children of multicultural family.
Child of multicultural family's afternoon life had the intimately relation with their home situation. First, according to the being multicultural family, they doesn't marriage through the international marriage mediation company but they have a family which is consisted of marriage through religion and industry trainee. In general, the subject(multicultural family) of study exposes that economical level is low and usual communication of mothers didn't have any problem of speech but they had the problem of guiding children's study in home.
Multicultural family child of afternoon education activity becomes difference according th economical situtation but they do institute taking a course and studying course similarly with general child. They had burden to school expenses and presented problem of unprofessional visit teacher. They play mainly computer game alone at free time and do not have various education activity in holidays.
If see interaction with parents in home, mothers of multicultural family want to raise children well and feel the pain that do not help on children's studying. Interest about education is high both multicultural family father and mother, but mother took complete charge of study and father escaped teaching. A good understanding within home consisted with mother and discord existed with father. Husbands of multicultural family committing must solve problem but showing traditional right or committing violence sometimes aggravates more problem as conversation in home.
And mother of multicultural family did not teach mother's tongue because of feeling anxiety to give problem of children's Korean ability. Understanding about Korean training courses is lacking. If see interaction with parents in children of multiculturalism home could know that visual point that improvement of self-existence and pride recovery program are required.
