This has the purpose to provide the fundamental analysis of the academic vocabulary for the advanced learners of Korean by making academic vocabulary lists with the words used in scholarly articles and s and defining the co-occurrence of each words. Furthermore, we can expect this kind of analysis is able to contribute to the improvement of the linguistics itself and to the education of students in reading and writing.For the purpose, this is focusing on the construction of the corpus in the practical usages and the analysis the general terms from the word-class tagging to figure out the frequency and the co-occurrence.The academic vocabulary is used in lots of theoretical as more professional glossary to develop a hypothetical idea and extend the discussion. From this point of view, some professional researchers are insisting that it is necessary to make a well organized plan to instruct the academic vocabulary.However, the results of previous analyses and policies are not satisfactory for the education and even the existing concept of academic vocabulary is not determined firmly yet.Thus the start of this is to establish the definition of the academic vocabulary as 'the glossary used in the academic analysis' which is need to be educated to the existing and perspective researchers.Of course, for this aim, this gives lots of space to building the lists of the word which is supposed to be an academic vocabulary. As a part of the analysis, the process has been planed to collect academic texts for the <Abstract_Corpus> and to extract general nouns by a specified method, the word-class tagging.And then it needed to select 815 words as considering the frequency and the characteristic for the original purpose. The is organized as following.In the first section, the purpose of this is provided and the differences from the previous researches are emphasized by reviewing existing s. And then section 2, deals with the definition and the meaningful role of the academic vocabulary and section 3, explains the process of the academic vocabulary list and main results in building the <Abstract_Corpus>. In section 4, the analysis provides the lexicographic definition and examines the frequency and the co-occurrence of the word-family of the academic vocabulary selected in the previous section.
