Abstract:

French distance education industry is on the boil. Shrinking budgets, a fugitive technology, stakeholders rising demands and the globalized competition urge the distance education institutions not only to fix their broken economic model, but also to seek new avenues to development. At the same time, it is not ignored that leaderships deem to play a crucial role in state distance education reform.In perspective of the leadership theory,French distance education makes series of reforms.Leading distance education transformation by common expection,the presidents should promote their leadership from“soliloquy”to“dialogue”,from controlling to leading,from authority to autonomy. Based on the theory of leadership, the authors deeply consider construction of China’s Open University leadership in the transformation of Chinese market economy.
