Abstract:Classroom questioning, an important means which teachers apply to stimulate students’ language output, is one of the main patterns for teacher-student interaction and plays a very important role in classroom teaching. Teacher questioning in classroom is not only the essential source of the students’ input but also the active factor of the students’ output. Therefore, teachers in high school have to grasp and make good use of classroom questioning techniques which will affect the teaching goals and is one of the key factors that affects the efficiency of classroom teaching. In recent years, researchers at home and abroad have done a lots of related theoretical and practical researches on the studies of classroom questioning of teachers in high school English class. Nevertheless, most present results of these studies are gained through literature and summarized experience. There are a few researchers investigating questioning techniques of teachers in high school English class through classroom observation. In this study, the author will collect relevant information from the classroom context through classroom observation.Some classroom teaching audio recorded by the recorder pen will be regarded as source of data to analyze the existing problems about questioning techniques of teachers in English class of high schools,through analyzing and summarizing the types of questions, the ways questions answered, teachers’s questioning techniques and the feedback of teachers, etc. All of these are supposed to contribute to investigating effective questioning techniques of English teachers of classroom teaching in high school to improve the quality of questioning of English teaching class in high school, to build effective interaction in the classroom, and to provide some suggestions on improving foreign language teaching under the new curriculum. 摘要: 课堂提问是教师用提问的方式来刺激学生言语反应的一个重要手段,是师生进行互动活动的主要形式之一,在课堂教学中发挥着十分重要的作用。教师课堂提问不仅是学生语言输入的重要来源,也是学生语言输出的促进因素。因此,高中英语教师对于课堂提问的技巧的把握与运用,将会影响教学目标的实现,也是影响课堂教学效率的关键因素之一。近年来,关于高中英语课堂教师提问技巧,国内外许多专家学者做了很多相关的理论和实践研究,但目前绝大部分的相关成果都是通过文献研究和经验总结等方法获得的,很少有通过课堂观察这种研究方法对高中英语课堂教师的提问技巧进行探讨。 本选题将通过课堂观察的研究方法从课堂情境中收集相关的资料。通过用录音笔录下一定高中英语教师的课堂教学音频作为数据来源,并依据所记录到的课堂提问的问题类型、回答问题的方式、教师的提问技巧以及教师的反馈等情况进行分析和总结,从中分析出高中英语教师课堂提问所存在的问题,以探索高中英语课堂教学有效的教师提问技巧,以提高高中英语课堂教学提问的质量,构建有效互动的课堂,为新课程下提高外语教学提供一定的建议。 关键词:课堂观察;高中英语课堂;教师提问技巧;有效提问
