Abstract: Nowadays, English is going global and it has a lot of varieties, such as American English, Canadian English. When it comes to China, China English and Chinglish are always at the centre of discussion. These two terms are greatly different. However, people sometimes fail to distinguish between them. Therefore, in this essay the writer will present their differences from various aspects, including their respective theoretical basis. The differences on their pronunciation, vocabulary, and context will be discussed in detail, throwing some light on Chinglish’s possible transition into China English. At the end of the paper, appropriate methods of addressing the issue from both learners’ and teachers’ perspective are presented.

摘要: 现在英语正走向世界，它有许多变体，比如美国英语和加拿大英语。在中国，中国英语和中式英语是经常讨论的话题。它们之间区别很大。但是人们有时候会混淆它们。因此本文从不同的方面，包括从理论基础角度，来展示它们的区别。两者之间在发音，词汇和使用语境上的区别也揭示了中式英语向中国英语转变的可能性。论文最后分别从学者和教师的角度提出了解决混淆问题的方法。
