Abstract:Translation is a language process, and language is very complex. It has been researched and discussed for a long time by many people in many books. Translation of complex sentences has profundity, which need to be understood and researched thoroughly.

　　　An English complex sentence consists of one independent clause and one or more dependent clauses whose structures are very complex. Complex sentences can be divided into noun clauses, attributive clauses and adverbial clauses.

　　　The relations of grammar and logic of complex sentences should be made clearly when a complex sentence is translated. Adjustment of word order is required, while other is selective.

　　　For word order, the differences in both English and Chinese are attributive order, adverbial order and modifiable elements. Adjustment of word order focuses on the word and sentence order mainly.

Word order of English and Chinese is coincident. Sentence order is time order, logical order of the main clause and clause in English complex sentence. They must be dealt with respectively.

中文摘要:翻译是一种语言活动，而语言又极为复杂。关于翻译，已有许多人在研究，许多书在谈，所以翻译也是极其深奥的学科，它所涉及的内容又深又广，需要深入的了解和研究。

　　　英语复合句是由主句、从句构成，是英语中比较复杂的句子结构。从句的种类很多，但是根据性质和作用可以分为：名词性从句、形容词性从句（定语从句）、副词性从句（即状语从句）。

　　　英语复合句翻译时要理清语法关系和逻辑关系，在翻译复合句时，语序调整是强制的，有些是选择性的。英汉语序主要差异在状语的语序和定语及被修饰成分的语序上，因此，语序调整主要是指词序、句序的调整。英汉语的词序有其一致性，句序是指复合句中主句和从句的时间和逻辑顺序。应该根据具体情况翻译处理。
