Abstract:Pride and Prejudice is Jane Austen’s masterpiece, and it is no doubt that Elizabeth is the most intelligent character in the novel and she is also Austen’s favorite. In this paper, the author would like to express her opinions about Elizabeth’s lovely character, her pride, her caprice, her wit and her sensibility in different circumstances. From her communication with her relatives, lover and her surroundings, readers would feel her lively temperament and the happiness she brings to her family as well as us readers. In addition, by the appreciation of the character Elizabeth in Pride and Prejudice, readers can get a better understanding of Austen’s other novels, which also deserve the reputation of worldwide treasures.

中文摘要:《傲慢与偏见》是简.奥斯汀的代表作，而无疑伊丽莎白是这部作品中最聪明有魅力的人物，同时她也是奥斯汀最喜爱的角色。在这篇论文中，作者将对伊丽莎白在不同环境情形中所体现出来的可爱性格进行相关陈述，她的骄傲，任性，智慧以及她的感性等方面。通过了解她与她的家人，爱人，敌人及她周围环境的交往相处，读者将由衷折服于她活泼可爱的性情，以及她给她家人及我们读者所带来的快乐。与此同时，通过欣赏在《傲慢与偏见》中对于伊丽莎白的精彩描写，读者也会对于奥斯汀的那些名副其实世界珍宝地位的其他小说得到更好的理解。
