Abstract:Assessing students’ papers is an important part in English teaching. When the students’ assignments are commented, more attention should be paid to diversity and artistry. Felicitous comments in students’ papers can improve the effect of large class teaching, arouse students’ learning motivation, guide students’ learning method, and promote the emotional communication between the teachers and the students. Thus, it will promote the implementation and development of the quality education. Therefore, teachers should explore and reform the types of assignment comments actively, and the appropriate assignment comments can bring effective and positive function to English teaching. This paper focuses on the principles, types and functions of English assignment comments to air my opinion.

中文摘要:批改作业是中学英语教学的重要环节之一，给学生的作业批注评语要注意评语的多样性和艺术性。恰当的作业评语能够改善大班教学中的教师的时间和精力有限的问题，能够激发学生的学习动机，能指导学生的学习方法，并能沟通师生之间的情感，从而促进素质教育的实施和发展。在英语教学中教师要积极探索写作英语评语的方式和方法，并恰当的使用作业评语，使其发挥出有效、积极的作用。本文从广大教师的教学实践中吸取一定的经验，并结合自己的教育实践就中学英语作业评语的原则、种类及其在教学中的积极作用作一些探究。
