AbstractBody language is a powerful supplementary tool in English teaching, because body language in teaching has direct, supplementary and actual characters. Teachers’ friendly appearance can greatly encourage the students’ study enthusiasm. A teacher always with a smile is thought to convey warmth and promote a supportive and non-threatening classroom atmosphere. Eye contact between teacher and students can help teachers decide the teaching should stop or continue; it also can make students and teachers have a good relationship. Naturally posture and lively gestures can make students have a positive attitude. The correct use of body language and word in English can improve the effect of teaching and learning.

摘 要:在英语教学中,体态语是一种很有力的辅助工具。因为它具有直接性、辅助性和真实性的特点。教师自然地仪表和打扮积极地影响教学;面带笑容的教师往往能营造轻松,活跃的课堂气氛;教师通常利用他们的目光与眼神传递信息,也用来判断是否停止或继续他们的教学,目光交流还反映师生关系;自然的身势和手势能够使教学更有效。在教师应用语言讲解的同时配上合适的体态语言能提高教学。
