Abstract:With the rapid development of information, public service advertising, one of the most important forms of ads, is drawing more and more social attention. But due to the numerous types of public service advertising, advertisers have to rack their brains to the pursuit of new ideas. This makes the use of pun in advertising more frequent which causes great difficulties to the translation of Public Service Advertising. Therefore, the research on the application and translation of PSA becomes more and more important. Therefore, this thesis focuses on regarding public service advertising as corpus starting from the definition, functions and features of puns, and discusses the application of puns in PSA translation. What’s more, the content and characteristics of public service advertisings are analyzed, so as to find out the translation skills of puns and summarize its general rules. It is hoped that this research can help readers better understand and appreciate public service advertising. Key words: public service advertising puns application and translation
摘要:在信息飞速发展的今天,公益广告作为广告的一种重要形式,越来越受到社会的重视。但是由于公益广告种类繁多,广告制作者们挖空心思追求新的创意,这就使得双关语在公益广告中的运用更加频繁,同时也给公益广告的翻译带来了一定困难,因此研究双关语在公益广告中的应用及其翻译变得越来越重要。 本文以公益广告为语料,从双关语的定义、特征、功能入手,探讨双关语在公益广告中的应用。并根据公益广告的内容和特点进行分析对比,找出双关语的翻译策略,总结其一般规律,希望此研究能有助于读者更好地理解和欣赏公益广告。 关键词: 公益广告 ;双关语 ;应用翻译 |
