Abstract: This thesis is a metaphorical analysis of news discourse made from a cognitive view. In the light of the contemporary theory of metaphor advanced by Lakoff, there are four major conceptual metaphors in this thesis, namely, structural metaphors, orientational metaphors, ontological metaphors, and container metaphors. With the discussion of the working mechanism of conceptual metaphor, that is, the cross-domain mapping from source domains to target domains, readers will have an impression on metaphor for it can make the language form of news discourse tight and coherent, and make abstract concepts vivid. Also, readers will accept the view that metaphor is not only a figure of speech, but a cognitive approach that is used to understand the surrounding world they live in from news discourses. Meanwhile, readers should pay attention to the phenomenon that there is ideological element in news discourse for news discourses are written by reporters using metaphor.

摘要：本文从认知的角度，以Lakoff的概念隐喻理论为研究框架，运用实例分析了新闻语篇中典型的概念隐喻，即结构隐喻、方向隐喻、本体隐喻、容器隐喻。本文通过对新闻语篇中概念隐喻的工作机制——源域和目的域之间跨域映射的探讨，加深读者对隐喻使得新闻语篇紧凑连贯，使抽象概念生动作用的认识，让读者体会到隐喻不仅是一种修辞手段，而且是人们从新闻语篇中理解周围世界的一种认知方式。同时，读者应该看到受新闻报导者的主观因素的影响，新闻语篇中不乏通过隐喻进行意识形态的渗透。
